Ms. Smalls delivers a collection of short stories from the perspective of five women, whom in their spare time, live out their fantasies through the Channel―a secret women only interactive cable network.

The first story is about Carla and her Pirate King. She indulges in her pirate fantasies when her husband is out of town, leaving her all alone. While transporting back to her island, where she reigns as Queen to her King, a new pirate comes into the scene and Carla is mesmerized by the new player. The two embark on a wild fantasy that Carla is sure not to forget.

Nina and the Movie Star plays out a bit differently. Nina is a widower in her fifties. She has started her life again after losing her husband and indulges in her fantasies through the channel. It is just her luck to meet a sexy ex-movie star who brings passion to her real life. After experiencing deep fulfilling love into her life, Nina struggles with her decision to give up the Channel for good.

The next story is called Nancy Maureen and the Celtic Warrior. Maureen is the new “girl” on the block. She has recently takes a position as a live-in nanny and her employer has given her a prescription to the Channel. Maureen decides to give it a try. What does she have to lose? Soon she is spending her nights with a sexy Celtic Warrior, who heats up the sheets. It isn’t long before she discovers her warrior might not just be a fantasy but real. The local butcher’s son is identical to her warrior.

J.P. and the Regency Rake: Jane is the only one of the group who is falling for her fantasy man. She has committed herself to the Channel and doesn’t want to leave. The powerful owner of the Channel, Mr. Nicholas, sees Jane’s attraction to her man, Charles Pell and offers her a way to make him real. She is a successful publisher and the idea of turning Charles to a human is ludicrous or is it?

The last story is titled Tiffy and the Sultan. Tiffany and her husband Joe have the perfect marriage. She barely goes on the Channel but after her friend Carla convinces her to indulge a little more, Tiffany can’t resist. She is swept away night after night by a sexy sultan and she doesn’t want to give him up. Will she be willing to put her entire marriage on the line for her fantasies?

I have to admit that I’ve never read anything by this author and I went into this book totally blind. The premise is appealing but the execution failed. The characters are boring and they aren’t developed enough. The stories didn’t hold my attention. There is no real plot and the only excitement readers will get from this is the hot sex scenes. If readers want a mindless read but full of sex then this is the book for them. I wanted more of a connection with the characters.

Overall, this erotic book is ho-hum and left me wanting more.
