The Marriage Betrayal
Lynne Graham
Heat Level: 4 (Hot)

Careless passion, pregnancy surprise…

Sander Volakis goes his own way. He's forged his reputation in business, rather than relying on the family fortune, and indulges his darkly passionate, wild streak. He has no intention of marrying…

He doesn't do country weekends, either. Pitching up at Westgrave Manor is a favor to his father and a bore…until he sees Tally Spencer, so pretty and voluptuous that he can't resist her. Sander's looking forward to casually seducing her, not knowing that one night with the innocent Tally could end his playboy existence…

The Marriage Betrayal is an excellent story about desire and love in the most unexpected places.

Tally Spencer, illegitimate daughter of a Greek Tycoon, and interior design student, is perfectly happy being her own person and living without her father. A forced visit at a house party throws her into the arms of the least likely boyfriend candidate, playboy Sander Volakis.

Sander is immediately attracted to Tally. He wants an emotional free tryst, but ends up with more then he bargains for after Tally becomes pregnant. Forced to give up his freedom and carefree ways due to blackmail can this unlikely pair overcome the shortfalls of their marriage and find true happiness?

Lynne Graham tells the first half of the Sander and Tally story in The Marriage Betrayal. I have to admit that I am anxious for the second part of this story because I expected to read a teary ending. Boy, let me say that I was wrong! So whatever preconceived notions you get from the book blurb throw them out the window because this story has surprises.

The entire cast of characters and the situations that occur kept me going. There are characters that you love to hate and characters that you absolutely adore. Tally, is an exceptional heroine and I loved how she did her best to muddle through Sander’s attitudes and actions. She kept a strong head and knew what she wanted. Whether what she wanted was respect from Sander or the ability to make choices that didn’t involve giving everything up for a man. Sander seems impressed with her simplistic ways, but is easily convinced she is a gold digger from the situations the pair find themselves locked in.

Another thing that made this story so delicious is the emotions I felt from both main characters and reading about their feelings. Sander has to deal with obligations and Tally feels every jab from being the outsider of the rich world to uncaring parents. Lynne Graham definitely knows how to weave a tale that leaves readers experiencing every ounce of pain and happiness. The resolution to the story is amazing, and I will admit I didn’t expect the tale of these two to end happily.

If you’re a fan of Maisey Yates you will thoroughly enjoy The Marriage Betrayal and the upcoming sequel Bride for Real.
