Review

Grady and Olivia Foster once had everything, but then tragedy struck and the lost it all.

I adored this book. It takes the reader on a rollercoaster of emotions, but everything leads to a spectacular happily ever after.

Olivia is ready to move on. After the death of her son, she has pulled further and further away from her husband, Grady.  Another holiday is on its way and Olivia has decided that she needs to cut all ties with Grady and asks him for a divorce.

Grady isn’t about to let the love of his life get away, but unless he can convince her to grieve with him and share her feelings he won’t be able to hold onto her.  He just isn’t sure how to get from where they are to where they used to be or even a new place.

This book should come with a tissue warning. I was reading it while at my daughter’s dance class and worried the other moms as I sat reading with tears running down my cheeks. Grady and Olivia love each other so much. When they are in the same scene together the writing portrays the love so clearly between them. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose a child, but the book had such a real feel to it. The writing is emotional and moving. I couldn’t stop reading, because I needed to know that Olivia and Grady were going to be okay.

I loved how Olivia was trying to find her way, but not really being successful. She is just too lost in her grief to see what she really needs. Grady is the ultimate romance hero. He is so in love with his wife and just wants to be with her again. However, if she wants to really be free of their marriage he will let her go so that she can be happy again. Olivia and Grady are both three dimensional and feel a range of emotions throughout the story.

There are several secondary characters that play an important part in the book and I’m hoping that we get to find out what happens between Grady’s brother, Jace and the girl he’s changing his life for during Miracle under the Mistletoe.

I think this book is perfect for anyone who loves to read romance with deep emotion. (Just remember to keep a box of tissues close!)
