Review

Wild child Wyatt DeSelame is the playboy of the DeSelame clan. All of his life, he has heard that he is a disappointment. If it came down to business or women, he would always pick women. Now he is trying to prove his brothers wrong by going undercover for them. The DeSelame’s family winery is facing serious competition from the Romano family and he needs to figure out what their secret is. The problem is that he has to get past the brain of the rival group: Kiara Romano.

Kiara lives and breathes the family winery business. Bella Notte is her one true passion and she is good at it. She has been searching for years to find the perfect assistant. She thinks she finds it in Wyatt’s perfect tongue. He can taste the smallest components in a wine and she needs him to help her win the best tasting wine contest in town.

Kiara is a gifted scientist who knows her wines. She has never taken the time to let her guard down and enjoy life until Wyatt whirled into her life. Now, she has opens herself up to new experiences and is willing to follow in the footsteps of her romantic family and let go of her inhibitions.  Wyatt is a funny character and loves to enjoy life. He balances Kiara’s straight-laced personality with his down to earth humor and zest to live.

As Wyatt spends more time with Kiara and her family, he can’t help but fall in love with her. The guilt weighs heavily on his heart. How can he prove to his family that he is mature without hurting the woman he loves?

The author’s play on words is absolutely amazing. The way in which she described the wine and the flavors is decadent.

The pleasure was so barbarically beautiful he didn’t ever want it to end. It tasted like the most sublime sin, and to think that the frumpily dressed woman with the smart green eyes was responsible for this…thing of sheer perfection.

Though this is a short book, Kiara and Wyatt’s chemistry is well developed. The relationship comes across natural and explodes as the two let go of all of their doubts. The magic between the two is perfect and my heart resonated with Kiara at the end when she finally allowed herself to believe in the magic of love.
