Once Melissa is in front of the camera, she comes to life, channeling a raw passion that the camera—and Jack—find irresistible. Review

Light Me Up is a sexy story of two people who are perfect for each other – even if they don’t know it.

Jack Shea found the model of his dream while taking pictures in the park. When he finally got up the nerve to approach her she had disappeared. Even though he doesn’t know her name or anything about her she sticks in his mind. He promises his friends, Angela and Bonnie, that if he finds her he would talk to her.

Melissa Webber suffers from high blood pressure and one of the ways that she keeps herself centered and calm is by practicing yoga in the park. After an injury and a break from yoga she returns to the park, and then on her way to work she passes a building that houses a bakery, florist, and photography studio. Curious about what the stores offer since she is helping her sister plan a wedding Melissa enters. The people in the building look at her oddly and she starts to get a creepy vibe, when she meets Jack. She is instantly drawn to him, but is shocked when she sees pictures of herself hanging in his studio.

Jack is flirty and charming. He lives for his art and follows his muse. Even though he flirts with all women he isn’t a player. He genuinely likes the women that he dates. He is looking for something more, but at the same time is frightened at the thought of being with one woman in a serious relationship. He changes and evolves throughout the story and figures out what he truly wants.

Melissa is uptight despite the yoga she practices. She doesn’t want a man in her life that will take over and make her someone she isn’t. She listens to external forces that tell her men aren’t worth the trouble. So, when she finds herself drawn to Jack she tries to ignore the feelings. However, soon she finds out that she can’t live without a man who makes her feel special and loves her for the fact that she is herself.

Light Me Up is sexy. The scenes between Jack and Melissa are well written and very hot. The lovemaking is integrated in a way with the pictures that Jack is taking of Melissa that adds something special to the scenes.

Light Me Up is the second book in a series (book #1 – Just One Kiss) and I can’t wait to read the next book.
