"You are so wrong for me."

Levi had to agree—he was. He was leaving Chicago in a few short weeks. He didn't do commitment—ever. But everything about this night, this girl, was so good. So right. Until at 11:59 p.m. she got out of his bed, got dressed and left!

What had he done? Things had hardly started and she was off! Yet he was bored with simpering women he couldn't get rid of. Elise was a breath of fresh air. How was he going to find her…and get her back in his bed—for the whole night this time? It seemed Mr. Levi-and-Leave-Them might have found the one woman to leave him begging for more.…

Review

Never Stay Past Midnight is a sweet story of finding love even when you don’t want it.

Elise has a plan. She is going to open her own yoga studio and work hard to help her family. What she doesn’t plan on doing is fall in love with the first man she was brave enough to have a one-night-stand with.

Levi moves from town to town, never settling down in one place. It helped him to not be attached to anyone and made his life run the way he wants it to. When he finds himself drawn Elise and unable to forget her once their night is done he decides to enjoy the time he spends with her until it’s time to leave.

I love this couple. They move almost seamlessly into a full relationship without even realizing it. When it becomes apparent Elise embraces her love for Levi and he runs away. I really liked that the characters stay authentic through the whole story. There isn’t some huge immediate turn around in how they feel. They come to terms with the changes slowly and realistically.

The writing is fantastic and the sex scenes electric. My only complaint is at the end of the story during the prologue there are mentions of characters that weren’t part of the rest of the book. I don’t know if they are characters from a previous story, but it was odd to me. The way they were written made it seem like the reader should know who they were, but I didn’t. It took a little bit of the happy away from the ending since I was focused more on trying to figure out who those people were.
