Review

Amy Bright is the best matchmaker in Destiny, Ohio, but she's desperately hopeless when it comes to her own love life.  She's been in love with Logan Whitaker, who just happens to be her childhood best friend.  So Amy decides to become Logan's secret admirer, and sends him sensual love letters.

Logan, a firefighter,  is dealing with his own issues after an on the job tragedy .  He's got Amy's support, but is torn by the letters and the reappearance of someone from Logan's past.  Could they be related?
Having read previous books from the Destiny, Ohio series, i was really looking forward to Amy and Logan's story.  Amy is kind and sweet, but she seemed to be the stereotypical lonely girl, who hides herself in shapeless and ill-fitting clothing, and doesn’t put herself out there romantically.  She instead focuses her energies on saving cats and taking care of Logan and her friends. 

Logan on the other hand, is a he-man.  He doesn’t know what he wants, and so when it comes to Amy, he runs hot and cold, being kind and loving one minute, and then careless of her feelings the next.  At times I felt like Logan could have benefitted from a swift smack to the back of his head.  It was great to see some of the characters from previous books, but they were slight and didn’t cause any confusion if you haven't read the previous books in the series. 

Toni Blake is a fantastic writer.  She writes great romantic scenes, romantic tension, and extremely hot sex scenes.  The other books in this series are: One Reckless Summer, Sugar Creek, Whisper Falls, and Holly Lane.
