The Inferno Club: To London Society, they’re notorious for their scandalous pursuits. In private, these warriors would risk their lives for king and country.

His brother warriors fear the Earl of Westwood has turned traitor, but Emily Harper knows this is impossible for the man she has loved since childhood . . . as impossible as a marriage between them could ever be—she, the gamekeeper’s daughter and he, a bold and adventurous nobleman.

Driven by hatred and revenge, Westwood is playing a deadly game of deception, bent on destroying the enemy’s dark conspiracy from the inside, and he’s furious when Emily plunges herself into danger for his sake. Forced into close quarters, their long-suppressed desire explodes into all-consuming passion.

Emily knows her love can save him . . . but Westwood is a man who doesn’t want to be saved.

Review

The 4th installment of the Inferno Club series is a wild ride along the blurry line between right and wrong.

This is one book where I think it would make a huge difference to have read the previous three before reading My Ruthless Prince. Drake, the hero has gone through so much previously that I think you would have to have read the other books to know what has happened and what has shaped him into the man he is in this book. He is the definition of a dark and tortured hero. The only one who can pull him out is Emily. She has known him since childhood and is the only good thing he feels he has left in his life. When everyone he counts on believes that he is a traitor, Emily still believes in him.

Emily travels from England to Bavaria to save Drake. She won’t take no for an answer. Her love to Drake is amazing. I love the way she is written. She isn’t a pushover and she isn’t going to let Drake give up.

There were several parts of the book that were frustrating. Drake and Emily try to get away and he gets pulled back into the Promethean’s evil clutches over and over. Part was in reaction to the PTSD type feelings that Drake had toward the Prometheans, but after the first or even second time it was frustrating as a reader thinking that they were finally going to get away.

I think I would have found more enjoyment in the story if I had read the rest of the series before reading My Ruthless Prince. (I have now read the first three books in the series and feel differently about My Ruthless Prince. Drake’s actions all make much more sense)

Here’s a list of the books in the series in order:

• My Wicked Marquess
• My Dangerous Duke
• My Irresistible Earl
• My Ruthless Prince
