Lethal undercover agent Stefan Prakenskii knew a thousand ways to kills a man—and twice as many ways to pleasure a woman. That’s what made him look forward to his new mission: arrive in the coastal town of Sea Haven and insinuate himself in the life of an elusive beauty who had mysterious ties to his past, and a link to a dangerously seductive, and equally elusive master criminal who wanted only one thing: to possess her.

Judith Henderson was an artist on the rise—an ethereal, and haunted woman whose own picture-perfect beauty stirred the souls of two men who have made her their obsession. For years she has been waiting for someone to come and unlock the passion and fire within her—waiting for the right man to surrender it to. But only one man can survive her secrets, and the shadow she has cast over both their lives.

Series: A Sea Haven Novel (Book 2)

Review

This book was incredible. This book includes: a fun, fast plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat; an incredibly sexy and strong, yet soulful and vulnerable hero (Stefan) whose complex character was handled so beautifully I nearly cried; an equally sexy, sweet, and kick-ass heroine (Judith) who was the perfect match for our hero’s passionate nature and lonely spirit; great dialogue and wonderful prose. The romance was handled spectacularly – I loved watching the hero and heroine grow into better people because of their association, and I was in tears watching them fall in love with one another. It was just… *sniffle*… so sweet!

The book starts off only a little slow, but quickly picks up speed – and there are some great action scenes that will take your breath away. The characters are really easy to identify with and I found myself so immersed in the story that at one point when I read the line:
“Judith’s heart clenched.”

my heart clenched as well. The prose definitely draws you into the novel, with beautiful imagery and great descriptions. Because the characters are so complex and so well-developed, it was easy to feel their emotions and motivations. This book, if for nothing else, will be remembered for it’s ability to completely immerse the reader in the suspense novel, the pain of the characters, and the glory of the romance.

Lovers of Lilith Saintcrow’s Jill Kismet series may find themselves to be fans of Christine Feehan’s Spirit Bound, as they have unique plots and premises (so as not to be repetitive) but similar styles. I would whole-heartedly recommend Christine Feehan’s latest, Spirit Bound, to anyone look for a romantic, exciting read which characters and a romance to melt your heart.
