What is there not to love about our beloved Braden and Jocelyn? Honestly, I think it will be a little bit before I get so deeply entrenched in another couple’s lives (a couple I haven’t written of course).
I fell completely in love with Braden in ON DUBLIN STREET and went through utter turmoil until he finally got through to Joss. In Castle Hill, we see a happy, completely in love Braden and Joss become engaged and married. We glimpse them on their honeymoon and let me tell you, their love life is still as hot and steamy as ever. There’s a scene at the airport…
Now of course everything isn’t smooth sailing. At the end of ON DUBLIN STREET we’re given a look into their future and we see that Joss kind of freaks out whenever Braden brings up the subject of babies. I don’t know for sure if this is a spoiler or not, but Joss gets pregnant right away. And yes, it does freak her out just a bit.
Joss’s reaction to the pregnancy causes problems between her and Braden as you can imagine. It’s a novella so the conflict is short-lived and they continue in their life of wedded bliss.
I loved catching up with my favourite couple. I actually read BEFORE JAMAICA LANE before I read Castle Hill so I knew about the pregnancy going in. There weren’t any surprises just a short emotional, sexy, slight angsty read. I do know that I’m looking forward to meeting this kid (or kids) five years later when I hope we’ll see them again in Hannah and Marcus’s story FALL FROM INDIA PLACE.
