She's going to do this. She's really going to do this!

Nichole Daniels has had her share of heartbreak. Two broken engagements and a single bed are proof of that. But when a blue-eyed stranger offers her a taste of her every nighttime fantasy, she's considering putting an end to her dry spell!

Garrett Carter's reputation as a ladies' man…? Absolutely right. A danger to her mental health…? Definitely. The man for her…? Not on your life. Nichole has no intention of getting involved with a man known to be able to whisper almost any woman into bed! But something tells her that, when it comes to Garrett, one night will never be enough….

Review

Let me start off my saying, I loved loved loved this book!!! (Please take due note of triple exclamation marks)  And I mean love it in a way I didn’t expect to when I started reading it.

I’m going to start at the beginning of my mini-love affair with this book. First off, the hero  is the brother of the heroine’s best friend (love this trope)—not that she knows this when she hooks up with him. That’s something our heroine, Nichole, learns after the fact. Ms. Lynn does a great job making this a believable scenario. Yes, that’s how she’s able to further draw me into her web. Crafty author.

Second, and the most important part of what really hooked me, is how they both react to finding out who each other are. Our hero, Garrett, does not get involved with his sisters’ friends. This is something he learned the hard way. It never ever ends well—you know,  lost friendships and that sort of thing.  Nichole is definitely not going to become involved with the man known as “The Panty Whisperer”. Hehehehe. Love that.  So they are both on the same page. What almost happened between them is not going to happen again and they will just be “friends”.

I’m taking a moment here to snort in derision. Yeah, right. That’s a goal doomed to fail from the beginning. We know this as readers of romance, but it’s watching it fail that is so very entertaining…and hot!  Seriously, get ready for the heat because there is lots of it between Nichole and Garrett. Throw in lots of requited longing and a bit of cavemanish jealousy and one really hot scene at the end and you have the makings of a first-class romance read.

In order for me to love a book, I need to fall in love with the hero. I fell hook line and sinker for Garrett. He’s swoon-worthy to the nth degree. Oh yeah, and I loved Nichole too. She’s the kind of heroine most women will be able to relate to. I loved the whole cast of characters, especially Maeve, Garrett’s sister. I’m hoping she’ll get her own book.

I’ll end the review by telling you that if you’re like me and like to have your heartstrings pulled, love hot love scenes, a delicious (and scorching hot) leading man and books you never want to end, this is definitely the book for you.  Mira Lyn Kelly, I await your next masterpiece because Once Is Never Enough. (Take due note that this is me being extremely clever.) :)
