There's nothing like fleeing Miami to ruin a girl's day.

Stella Leon's bartending gig was going fine until gorgeous ex-Marine Beau Junger decked her mob-connected boss, spirited her out of the city, and claimed that Stella's half-sister—the one with the perfect life—sent him. Now Stella has no choice but to go along for the ride . . . and seduce

Beau's military-issue socks off . . .

The Marine Corps was Beau's escape from his old man's legacy of naval heroism and serial philandering, but no amount of training could prepare him for the day he looked in the mirror and saw his father staring back. Review

Ms. Gibson brings her fans right back to Lovett, Texas for some more crazy and fun times. Now that Vince and Sadie are getting married, he wants to help her find the sister she just discovered she had. Vince calls up one of his military brothers, Blake, to help him out. Blake is not in the position to take on the responsibility but his twin brother, Beau, is just the man.

Beau arrives in Miami just in time. Estella Immaculata Leon (can I just say that I couldn’t stop laughing at how ridiculous this name is) is receiving some unwanted attention from her boss. Beau steps in to rescue Stella and things get crazy. Stella’s boss is tied into the mob and the men want to know who Beau is. The simple job of bringing Stella to Texas becomes complicated. As Beau and Stella drive across country, dodging men, they find themselves in some cozy situations.

I loved Stella. She is a little free spirited, spit-fire. I like her outlook on life and how much she values parts of herself. She grew up with knowing that her father was having an affair with her mother and that she would never have the family that most little girls do. She fears meeting Sadie and not measuring up to her perception of who Sadie is. Stella is a tough girl with some vulnerabilities and insecurities that she works through with the help of Beau.

Beau is a big bad Ex-Marine. He is humorous even when he’s not trying to be funny. I love the way he argues with his brother, Blake. The brotherly love that turns into real fights shows some of Beau’s softer side. Though Beau constantly says he is not the romantic type, his feelings for Stella makes for some of the most romantic moments towards the end.

I highly recommend this series. I look forward to finding out what happens to Blake. He definitely has a story to tell.
