Now, in the enticing conclusion to Tara Sue Me’s Submissive Trilogy, the submissive and her dominant explore just how long they can make the pleasure last…

It started with a hidden desire.

Millionaire CEO Nathaniel West has always played by his own strict set of rules, ones he expects everyone to follow—especially the women he’s dominated in his bedroom. But his newest lover is breaking down all his boundaries and rewriting his rule book.

Abby King never imagined that she would capture the heart of Nathaniel West, one of New York City’s most eligible bachelors—and its most desirable dominant. What began as a weekend arrangement of pleasure has become a passionate romance with a man who knows every inch of her body and her soul – yet remains an enigmatic lover. Though he is tender and caring, his painful past remains a wall between them.

Abby knows the only way to truly earn his trust is to submit to him fully and let go of all of her lingering inhibitions. Because to lead Nathaniel on a path to greater intimacy, she must first let him deeper into her world than anyone has ever gone before…

Review

Nathaniel West is back and he is trying to figure out his relationship with Abby. He is training Abby to be a proper sub on the weekends and during the week they are trying to figure out how to have a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.  In the first book, Nathaniel comes off as cold and uncaring. He dishes out punishments without hesitation. In book two, the author does a wonderful job of making Nathaniel more human and revealing that he is a caring man. He is not the cold, “Master” that we all thought he was. In the final book, Nathaniel fluctuates between the two. If I’m honest, he is cold and unyielding for a bulk of the book. There’s no real explanation for why he is so cold and distant.

The story goes back and forth between Abby and Nathaniel’s POV. I think if the author would have presented more of Nathaniel’s POV, an explanation for his cold behavior would have been revealed. Abby takes most of Nathaniel’s punishments with ease. She barely stands up for herself which is slightly disappointing.

As much as I loved some of the sex scenes, it became repetitive. It really is a book about training. Abigail gets a hard lesson on how to be a submissive. I found myself loving the moments that they interacted like a normal couple and hating the “how to” guide that the rest of the book read like. There should have been more conflict outside of training Abby to be a good sub.

Though I didn’t love this last book, I enjoyed finishing the journey with Nathaniel and Abigail. This last book comes out soft and boring at times but it is nice to see how it all ends. Old characters from the previous books are present and we get a chance to see what happens next for them.
