Roses are red, violets are blue, and in Valentine Valley, love will always find you.

Review

Monica Shaw is one of the last single ladies in Valentine Valley. She owns a successful flower shop. She has a great group of friends and family. She loves her life but she would love to find that special someone to spend her life with.

Secret Service Agent Travis Beaumont has brought his team to Valentine Valley to scope out the area for the big secret presidential wedding taking place in two weeks. He is set on his mission and the quicker he can get this wedding over with, the faster he can go back to D.C. but he didn’t expect to be attracted to the cute florist.

I notice that this series is either a hit or a miss for me. Some books I loved and others were just cute romances. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with cute romances but there was nothing spectacular about this book.

Travis is kind of quiet and intense. I’m assuming that he is like this because of his military background. However, it takes too long to get to the core of who he is and what he is feeling. I actually didn’t care that much for him.

Monica is sweet and kind. She does a lot for her family and friends. Her past situation with her sister did nothing for the story. Monica is dealing with some activism over a particular piece of land. The author became heavy handed at times with the political messages.

Overall, I enjoyed reading about the lives of these small town people. There is a side story with Monica’s parents who are struggling with a new point in their marriage. The tight knit friendships they have created are awesome. I recommend this for fans of the series.
