As a young voracious reader, I would dream of having all the books I could ever want. And even when I had more books than I could read it one entire week, I wanted more. Then my mother got a job at Harlequin and that was heaven on earth. She used to bring home a book (a big box) of books every month with every title from every line Harlequin published. This was back in the 80s when they’d just bought Silhouette.

An aside–did you hear that Harlequin doing away with the Silhouette name and replacing the Silhouette name with Harlequin in the Desire, Special Edition and Romantic Suspense lines? I’m kind of surprised it took them this long but I do have a fondness for the Silhouette name and will miss it. It will certainly take some getting used to.

Anywho, as I was saying, I never thought I could ever have enough books. I so loved a teetering TBR pile. It meant I’d always have something to read. Well right now I have books aplenty all over my dining room table and the task of even sticking the cover on a blog post to give it away is too much. So I came up with a way I could give more away by doing less than 1/5 of the work. I’ve posted the logo on the right with all the books I’m currently giving away. The drawing for all will be held Monday, October 25th. Just click the respective titles below and it will take you to the entry page.

WARRIOR AVENGED – Addison Fox
DARK VIKING – Sandra Hill
SEDUCING THE SUCCUBUS – Cassie Ryan
STYX’S STORM – Lora Leigh
TEN WAYS TO BE ADORED WHEN LANDING A LORD – Sarah MacLean
WICKED WONDERLAND – LuAnn McLane, Susanna Carr, Janice Maynard
SELFISH IS THE HEART – Megan Hart

In other news, voting is still open for Readers’ October Top Pick! Don’t forget to stop by and vote.

In ‘Tis The Season Writing Contest news, tomorrow I will start accepting entries. I’ve created a special board on the The Season Forum if you’d like to chat about the entries, the contest, the voting, writing, whatever.  If you’re not registered, it’s a quick and easy sign-up. Since I do get a ton of spam on this site, your registration will have to be approved by me.

That’s all for now in A Little Bit of This and That News. 🙂 I’ll be back in about a week with more.

  2. Very cool idea Bev. I know all about having books everywhere but it is because we need to make sure we got something to read at all times 🙂

  3. I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m unable to get through the entry links. Nothing happens when I click on the entry links. Anyone else have the problem ? But how lucky Bev that your Mom was able to bring home those books. My own TRL is outrageously high now and my family are always commenting. 🙂

  5. Just wondering if the winner of The Dangerous Viscount by Miranda Neville or Lord Lightning by Jenny Brown drawing from 10-18 will be drawn soon. Also, when I click the link on the home page for current newsletter, it goes to September issue. What gives? Has anyone else had that problem?

That’s because the October one isn’t coming out until this weekend. But it’s coming. And I’m posting the winner for that post tonight when I get home from work. 😀

  7. I have TBR piles stacked here, there and everywhere — my family says that I will never be able to read all the books I have in my lifetime — and I still buy more.

I tell them that books are my drug of choice!!!

  8. @Carol

Hi Carol, the link thinks you have a mail application and it usually would open that up and insert all the correct information. If you don’t have one, just email contests@theseasonforromance.com and put the book you want to enter to win in the subject and include your name in the body.
