We go through this every four years–thank goodness it’s not more–and now it’s over. Yes, the Presidential Election. No more ads or robocalls. To end that alone, I’m grateful it’s over.

Whether your candidate was selected or not, this country must move forward together. Right now, I’m praying we can reduce the debt, create more jobs, reduce unemployment and make this country a place where everyone has the opportunity to live the “American Dream”. Β Let’s not go off that fiscal cliff.

Now because that won’t be an easy task–we have some very weighty issues–I’m here today to lighten it up in a small way. We’re readers–romance predominantly–and to escape a sometimes harsher than we’d like reality, we read. So how about I give you books to lose yourself in?

Three (3) random commenters will receive a book from The Season Stash and one of those three will also receive Sara Bennett’s SIN WITH A SCOUNDREL!Β

  1. Amen to no more robocalls. They were definitely the scourge of this election season, always interrupting my precious reading time!

  2. Thank goodness that all the phone calls, advertisements and Facebook plugs have stopped. I dreaded answering the phone when it rang. Now, I can enjoy a day, or evening in peace. Thank you for your generous contests.

  3. you are so right! sometimes we lose sight of what is most important and that is that we ALL have to work together and YES reading is a wonderful way of getting away from all the BS without leaving home, work wherever! lol

  4. I’m so glad I won’t have to hear my friends argue over politics lol. Sometimes it’s just best to keep politics out of friendships, it keeps things kosher πŸ˜›

  5. I think we’ve worn away the mute button on our TV and thank goodness for answering machines although it stop them from waking me up. There should be a limit on how long this goes on. And I have always used books to escape!!!

  6. I could definitely use an escape, there is going to be no living with my husband for the next few months because of this election… It’s not that he doesn’t mean well, he is merely concerned for his family so he will spend the next several months venting about it πŸ˜›

  7. A book giveaway is definitely the best possible ending to the presidential election season. I much prefer books to politics! πŸ™‚

  8. We hardly get any robocalls, but I’m so glad not to have to see those ads when I’m watching my favorite shows.

  9. No more mailers, tv commercials, and wasting trees on things that I don’t enjoy reading! Yippee, and yes, let’s avoid the fiscal cliff please. *crosses fingers* Bring on the books, and thanks again for being awesome as always.

  10. I also am very glad the election is finally OVER!
Oh, and do sign me up for Sara Bennett’s new release. I love her books, have them all and she just can’t write them fast enough, lol.

  11. Not too happy about the results but way happy it is over! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read some excellent books!

  12. Yes, let’s work together to encourage our Congress to limit the time elections can take place. Six months before the election would be the ideal instead of 4 years before! I am all for having the Presidency last 6 years only and then that’s it. The person would not spend all of their time campaigning and would govern instead.
Sorry about venting-guess I will go read.

  13. Like everyone I am so glad its over. Yes we need more jobs in the worse way. Although doing away with the coal industry maybe making cleaner air but it is also doing away with a whole lot of jobs. Even though my husband does now work in the coal industry the parts he makes has to do with the coal industry so I am concern for his job. So when I worry I do bury myself in a book. Thanks so much for the chance to get books to take the worry away.

  14. I wish we could change the U. S. Constitution and elect the President for a single 6-year term, to spare us the constancy of party fights and election campaigns! Thanks for another generous giveaway, Bev.

  15. So glad it’s over. I was so sick of all the political ads and phone calls. Bring on the great books! Thanks for the giveaway.

  16. Hey – phone calls were hard to make, but we really got the vote out in Florida. Obama thanked his thousands of volunteers. I was happy last night. πŸ™‚

  17. Very glad the phone calls are over with! Give me a book, anyday, to escape from the world!

  18. I too am happy the election is over and am hoping things will get better but no guarantees. Books definitely take me away to a happier more relaxed place!

  19. Yay! No more politics and no more robot phone calls until 2016. I am praying that the country can come together and everyone can live their American Dream without fiscal fights in the House and Senate. Bev, giving away a book is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for this giveaway!

  20. Thank you so much for a chance to win an escape. Books are exactly the way I unwind after a stressful day. Maybe we are in some fiscal trouble, but I hope that we will survive the next four years. The American dream is almost out of reach.

  21. I’m so glad it’s finally over. I never thought this day would get here and I don’t even live in a battleground state! And escaping with a good romance is always a good idea!

  22. Thanks so much for the giveaway. Sometimes we forget what a great country we live in, but Election Day always reminds me to be grateful for the freedom that I have.

  23. I’m glad I don’t have to see another political commercial. Thanks for a great giveaway.

  24. I’m so sick of robocalls. I am a registered voter with a party affiliation and most of the political call I got were from the opposite party. There’s a new report to be on our 6PM news talking about those Robocallers and what to do about them. That should be interesting and just to be sure I don’t miss it, I set my recorder to catch it.

  25. I read a good romance to get the HEA ending that doesn’t seem to happen very much in real life. After the election was over, I started reading in order to forget that my vote here in Georgia doesn’t count for as much as someone’s vote in California. (Boo, hiss, to electoral college.) Thanks for the giveaway, Bev!

  26. I’m so glad that the elections are over. Now on to more important things…like reading romance novels πŸ˜‰

  27. I’m definitely glad the elections are over and ready to get into a great story. Thanks for the great giveaway. πŸ˜€

  28. Sooo glad the elections are over!! Hopefully, things will start improving. Thanks for the chance.

  29. Ahhhh, finally no more political ads. And here here on your wishes for the future!
Escapism…itsnt that why we all are book addicts? I know that is why I am =)

  30. YES!!! Elections are over!! I was so tried of seeing the ads and all those bashing from each sides. But thank you for the chance to start the election free rest of the month with a giveaway!

  31. It is nice not to see the ads or have all the junk mail stuffed in my mail box. It would be lovely if they all found a way to cooperate.

  32. I am so glad the elections are over….now if they can do something about the robocalls I’m still getting. Books? Yes!!! Books would definitely go a long way to take my mind off that stupid phone ringing!

  33. That’s exactly why I read romance! To escape reality for a while! Now if I could just turn off the Christmas commercials that are already starting to drive me crazy!

  34. I spent a lot of time losing myself in books during the campaign. It was ffar preferable to watching the TV (or answering the phone).

  35. Losing myself in a book is my ultimate way to unwind and relax from the major stress and drama of life. I absolutely would hate it if I could not read!
