First in the sexy and suspenseful Body Work Trilogy

Anna Rossi lives by one simple rule: don’t get attached, don’t get hurt. But Alec Flynn doesn’t play by the rules…

Anna never takes on a massage client without screening him first, but the paycheck offered by billionaire Maxim Stein is too good to turn down. Stein is the richest man she’s ever laid her hands on, and despite the risks, she trusts that she can take care of herself. After all, she’s handled difficult clients in the past. What she isn’t prepared for is getting caught in a compromising situation by Maxim’s tall, dark, and gorgeous bodyguard—or the desperate desires he awakens in her…

Alec is dangerous. The mysterious, hard-bodied man is completely irresistible and won’t be refused, no matter what walls Anna puts up to protect herself. But as Anna falls fast for his careful ministrations and mind-blowing skills, she begins to realize that giving herself over to a man with so many secrets isn’t just putting her heart at risk—it’s endangering her life…

Anna Rossi needs cash and she quickly agrees to a massage session with a billionaire. She doesn’t expect to be turned on by his bodyguard. Alec Flynn is hard to resist and when he catches her watching their boss in a private moment, he sets his mind to seduce her and give her everything she wants.

Alec is a man with many secrets. The affair starts off easy enough with hot sex but then Anna starts to question who Alec is and what he really does when she is not around. The guessing game began and I became curious about Alec. He is really is not who you think he is and he is in a situation that he shouldn’t be in. The story is complicated but you really want things to work out for Alec and Anna.

The sex with Alec and Anna is hot. The author writes the kind of scenes where you have to take a moment to catch your breath and get yourself together! The most fascinating aspect of the heat is that the author takes just enough time going into the scenes where they are connecting emotionally as well.

There is a bit of suspense and action that seemed to ruin the pacing of the book. Everything happened at the last few chapters. If the mystery and excitement would have happened earlier or in the next book, it would have made sense.

There is no conventional HEA. There is a cliffhanger of sorts and I would like to know what’s in store for Alec and Anna.

  2. Interesting review. I’m not sure I like the idea of no HEA or no conclusion. I would like to know more about Anna and Alec’s relationship and chemistry.
