Review ❤️ Bad For You by J. Daniels
He didn’t want to be bad. He just didn’t have a choice…

Shayla Perkins isn’t the kind of girl who makes the same mistake twice, especially when it comes to Sean “Stitch” Molina. So when he gives her the world’s biggest rejection, that’s it–she’s done. Until the sexy, silent, unavailable Sean makes Shay a very personal offer. Of course, it still doesn’t mean he’s interested in her. Or does it?

Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he’s paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protected–especially from a man like Sean. He’s tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.

Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give each other what they want most…is to let each other go?

Wickedly bad and seductively sweet! Bad for You is a slow burn that is going to take readers on an emotional ride. Daniels turns up the emotional factor in this addition of the series. I loved all the angst and emotions running through me as I got to know Sean (Stitch) and Shayla.

The book starts off a bit slow for me and that may be partly because this book is a bit different than the other books in the series. It is way more angst and emotional. Daniels peel back the layers of each character. I am use to a more playful and laugh out loud kind of story from Ms. Daniels.

Shayla has always like Sean but he keeps her at arm distance. No matter what, she continues to treat him kind. A part of me wanted Shayla to not be so sweet and caring. She is almost a bit too perfect for me but I get that is what made her the perfect heroine for Sean. He needed someone who was going to make it hard for him to stay in that hard shell of his.

Shay really wants to open up her own hair salon. She jumps out there and uses her spare room to lure in clients so she can start her business from home. When her father falls ill and she has to step in to help her family, she is almost at a loss but Stitch steps in to help her out.

I love me some Stitch! His story is so heartbreaking. The remnants of his childhood lingered far too long into his adult life. I understand that he held so much pain inside. I silently rooted for him as Daniels offered more and more of his story. She almost caused a tear to fall out J

Shay makes sure to help Sean see that he is worthy of having a good decent life. He deserves happiness. I love the little notes she left around for him. He kept them too! Despite Shay playing mortar at the end, I am very pleased how this turned out.

I highly recommend this series to everyone.
