Justine is satisfied with her life. She has the companionship of her dog, Spencer, and she works a job she cares for. She accidentally finds a lost and found ad for a dog who resembles her dog. She starts to inquire only to discover that the dog does belong to a handsome gentleman.
Justine is not about to give up her dog but she agrees to meet the previous owner, Griffin. She just didn’t expect for him to be kind and lovable. Spencer lands an acting role in the city and Justine agrees for Griffin to spend some time with him. The two seem to spar over who is Spencer’s rightful owner but sparks slowly fly between them.
At first, Justine is so cold as she is scared that Griffin wants to take away her dog. I found it weird she would even contact him if she was so concerned about Spencer belonging to someone else but then we wouldn’t have a story. She warms up because Griffin is really a nice guy and it is kind of hard to keep up her defenses.
This story is cute and predictable. The author appears very knowledgeable about dogs and the training aspect which helps with Justine’s storyline. It just that I didn’t care to know all of the ins and out of the training and the dog acting.
Overall, I recommend this book for fans of animals and cute hallmark type romances.
