Can't Hurry Love
Christie Ridgway
Heat Level: 3 (Sensual)

Liam Bennett staked his claim to Tanti Baci after stepping in to help the Baci sisters save their family legacy. But Giuliana Baci doubts his motives. They've been at odds since the hot summer long ago that ended in heartache.

With the fate of the winery on the line, the former lovers need to get a handle on their barely leashed hostilities-and the attraction that still draws them toward each other.

Can’t Hurry Love is the third in Christy Ridgeway’s Three Kisses series. We finally get the story of Giuliana and Liam and see just what is going on between them.

Tani Baci Winery has bonded together the Baci and Bennett families for generations so when the winery is in financial trouble the Bennett’s step in to try and help.

After her father died Giuliana Baci, along with her two younger sisters, have been running the winery. The said they would give it a year for them to turn it around and that deadline is looming. But a month before the big celebration of winery’s famous wedding wine, Giuliana’s world starts to fall apart. Her apartment burns down and she finds herself at the mercy of Liam Bennett.

Liam Bennett knows Giuliana is avoiding him, she has been for the last ten years but when he decides to help the Tani sisters, he thinks he and Giuliana can start to work things out but she’s been just as elusive living in the same town. But they have a secret and if they’re not careful it could ruin everything.

Liam and Giuliana have been apart for ten years since their youthful romance yet the passion that was there when they were younger still simmers under the surface. These are two people who are barely holding on to their emotions. They’ve been keeping them locked away for 10 years. In a way it’s as if they are still those young lovers, immature and refusing to talk about anything. They think its best to just ignore things when it’s only making them worse.

Oh, Giuliana, I wanted to slap her. She is the mother hen, the miss know it all and the “miss I don’t care what you think this is what I’m doing whether you like it or not”. I spent a lot of time not really liking her. She was very closed off, even to her family that I just found myself disinterested in her.

I was on Liam’s side from the get go even though he has some serious daddy issues that made him a bit irrational. He at least wanted to find a solution to the problem between him and Jules while she did her best to run away. Yes, Liam didn’t always make the right decisions but I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

I loved, loved, loved the secondary romance between Kohl and Grace! I so would’ve loved to see them get a full book. I think I was more in love with Kohl then I was with Liam. I found myself rooting for Kohl and Grace’s HEA more then Liam and Jules.

My only complaint was the whole kidnapping scenario at the very end. I think that it was just unnecessary and didn’t really add much to the story. I think it was just a way to throw in some last minute drama. I knew something was going to happen, especially because of Grace’s past and her friendship with Giuliana but this was just a little much.

Can’t Hurry Love was a good read and I enjoyed finally learning what was going on between Liam and Jules. If you are a fan of this series then don’t miss the conclusion to Liam and Jules.  If you haven’t read the first two in the series then don’t worry, Can’t Hurry Love can be read as a stand-alone.
