Temptress in Training is a funny, sexy read that is sure to delight historical romance lovers.

Temptress in Training is set in a world of brothels and people who aren’t what they seem. It is a very captivating story.

Sophie Darshaw has no one. She has spent the last six years working in a brothel as a seamstress and has managed to hold onto her virginity. In an effort to escape the brothel and to be able to open her own shop, she takes a position at a bachelor's house and immediately knows it was the wrong decision. Sophie is caught up in a world of spies, treasure, and one incredibly sexy Earl.

The Earl of Lindley is searching for a double agent who killed his family. He doesn’t want the sexy and sweet Sophie Darshaw to be involved, but can’t help but consider her as the evidence points in her direction. Lindley is a fantastic hero. He is strong, moral, and sexy.  I loved the way that he protected Sophie, even though he thought she was involved in the espionage.

The writing in Temptress in Training is great. I loved the witty banter between Sophie and Lindley as well as between Lindley and his friends. There are several places that had me laughing. Sophie had a peculiar sewing job at the brothel. She worked to make different disguises, enhancements, and toys for the patrons to use at the brothel. I love the scene where Lindley sees all of her “interesting inventions”. 

There were also many places where I sighed at the romance between Lindley and Sophie. This scene in particular made my heart happy:

“I’ll find you,” he said instead. “I will always come for what is mine, Sophie.”

She looked away now and tried to pull her hand back. He held on.

“You are mine, Sophie,” he added, just in case she might not yet understand.

She kept her eyes on her lap, but her cheeks colored beautifully.

“Yes, my lord. I am.”

Temptress in Training has everything – a great story and a great romance.
