Demon Hunting in Dixie
Lexi George
Heat Level: 3 (Sensual)

A warrior, a demon, and the girl next door. . .

Looking For Trouble

Addy Corwin is a florist with an attitude. A bad attitude, or so her mama says, cause she's not looking for a man. Mama's wrong. Addy has looked. There's just not much to choose from in Hannah, her small Alabama hometown. Until Brand Dalvahni shows up, a supernaturally sexy, breathtakingly well-built hunk of a warrior from--well, not from around here, that's for sure. Mama thinks he might be European or maybe even a Yankee. Brand says he's from another dimension.

Addy couldn't care less where he's from. He's gorgeous. Serious muscles. Disturbing green eyes. Brand really gets her going. Too bad he's a whack job. Says he's come to rescue her from a demon. Puh-lease. But right after Brand shows up, strange things start to happen. Dogs talk and reanimated corpses stalk the quite streets of Hannah. Her mortal enemy Meredith, otherwise known as the Death Starr, breaks out in a severe and inexplicable case of butt boils. Addy might not know what's going on, but she definitely wants a certain sexy demon hunter by her side when it all goes down . . .

No one can write a good Southern demon hunting treasure that is filled with rollicking and unforgettable fun like Lexi George!

Demon Hunting in Dixie starts with a bang and continues firing until the very end. This is definitely not your normal, average paranormal urban fantasy. Ms. George delivers characters that are sassy, delicious and perfect for a delightfully fun read.

Addy Corwin is a good Southern girl, with a very strict and to be feared mother. She runs a successful floral shop, and has a thriving business, considering her brother owns the local funeral parlor as well. All is well and fairly normal until one evening when all heck breaks loose and a big, brawny, Conan the Barbarian sort shows up. The Barbarian's name? Brand Dalvahni. This is a male like none other ,who has otherworldly powers and, as it turns out, is a demon hunter sent to dispose of a demon in Addy's hometown of Hannah, Alabama. It is all that Addy can do not to drool and pant each time Brand gives her one of his steamy looks. The same goes for her best friend Evie and Brand's “Brother” Ansgar. What is it with these hunters that makes trees grow from the center of building and gardens of luscious flowers sprout – not to mention make women go ga-ga and forget who they are. Oh yes, and never give them chocolate!!!

As things progress, it doesn't take Addy long to realize something is definitely not right, or normal, about her. Suddenly her hair and appearance take a make-over curve ball all it's own, she has strange powers that she never had before and she has the walking dead stalking her. If that isn't enough, her best friend forever, Evie, lets Addy in on a little secret that she has always been able to see fairies. Wow, where did the simple Southern life go?!

I honestly and truly had so much fun reading Demon Hunting in Dixie. It is quirky, imaginative and a laugh a page. The characters are fantastic. I particularly loved Evie, who has the best attitude and gets her time to shine after years of “hiding” and being ridiculed for her not-so-perfect body. The steaminess between Addy and Brand is mesmerizing and draws the reader right into their heat. The way that Brand and Ansgar process slang words and everyday sort of practices is also hilarious, as they take many terms literally. When Evie and Addy begin to cry and both demon hunters get a bit flummoxed because the woman are “leaking” was hilarious. There is absolutely not the slightest of dull moments within this story. Humor, spicy sensuality and demon hunting with hotties. What more could one ask for?

If you are looking for an in-depth and meaningful story, Demon Hunting in Dixie is definitely not the book for you. However, if you are looking for laugh-out-loud fun, total escapism and the perfect way to kick back, relax and have a fun afternoon or evening, this is the perfect book for you. Demon Hunting in Dixie will toss all your cares and stresses out the window, and allow you to indulge in tons of Southern fun. So grab a tall glass of sweet tea, kick your shoes off and settle in with this delicious creation crafted by Lexi George!
