Review
Laura Griffins delivers an equally romantic and thrilling romance suspense story in the latest addition to her Tracers series.
Allison Doyle knows she is the young rookie but she is hard working and determined to prove her strengths to the department. When she get caught up in a murder mystery that becomes more tangled and dangerous, she leans on the FBI profiler, Mark Wolfe to help her catch a psychopath.
Mark is going through the motions. He has been at this career for a while and he is good. In a normal situation, he would ignore Allison but her determine nature and her beauty draws him in. Before long, they are putting the pieces together to bring down a killer who has been on the strike and is waiting to luck out again.
The tension between Allison and Mark runs high throughout the book. Though Mark is older and a veteran at his career there is a masculine sex appeal. However, the focus on the age difference distracted me a bit. There has to be a fine line in which a writer describes the obvious and pushes it aside for the readers without making a huge issue.
The contrast from fast paced, action packed suspense to sweet and endearing moments keeps readers interested. While there are a few slow parts, the tight plot and fleshed out characters makes it easy to want to discover what is going to happen next.
I found this to be a easy, enjoyable and well written suspense thriller. I definitely will go back and read the other books from this author. I believe I will enjoy the series more.
