Maya Rodale's captivating new series introduces London's Least Likely--three wallflowers who are about to become the toast of the ton . . .

Lady Emma Avery has accidentally announced her engagement--to the most eligible man in England. As soon as it's discovered that Emma has never actually met the infamously attractive Duke of Ashbrooke, she'll no longer be a wallflower; she'll be a laughingstock. And then Ashbrooke does something Emma never expected. He plays along with her charade.

A temporary betrothal to the irreproachable Lady Avery could be just the thing to repair Ashbrooke's tattered reputation. Seducing her is simply a bonus. And then Emma does what he never expected: she refuses his advances. It's unprecedented. Inconceivable. Quite damnably alluring.

London's Least Likely to Misbehave has aroused the curiosity--among other things--of London's most notorious rogue. Now nothing will suffice but to uncover Emma's wanton side and prove there's nothing so satisfying as two perfect strangers . . .being perfectly scandalous together.

Review

This book is a delightful treat.

The situation isn’t realistic, but it’s fun and within just a chapter I was ensnared in wonder of how Lady Emma Avery was going to get herself out of this insane situation. Rodale creates a wonderful arrangement of convenience that raises Emma from ‘London’s Least Likely to Misbehave’ to the lady with invites to everywhere.

I liked this heroine for her tenacity and willingness to embrace an impossible situation. Her underlying motives are a bit shady since she’s not in this to keep Blake, the Duke of Ashbrooke; in fact she plans to ditch him. This morsel is probably her worst move ever because that only makes Ashbrooke want to keep her. He’s the rogue who is desperate need of someone to make him look stable, well-behaved and who better then ‘London’s Least Likely’?

There are multiple moments of hilarity from the games at Ashbrooke’s yearly family competition to the lengths Ashbrooke will go to in an effort to make their botched fairy tale meeting an actual fact. The hero is surprisingly not much of a rogue, except in the bedroom, on the outside he’s courteous and dependable. He’s not known for showing emotions, but Emma brings out the devil in him while he infuriates her.

“You think I’m handsome?” Blake asked with a lift of his brow.

“We both know you are and it’s not a matter of opinon,” she retorted. “But the point is, when people hold a favorable opinion, it’s easier to—“

“You think I’m charming,” he said, strolling toward her with a grin on his face and a swagger in his step.

“And yet I am not charmed by you,” Emma mused.

“Are you saying that you are London’s Least Likely to fall for me?” Blake asked, towering over her. She stepped back until the bookshelves dug into her back. Blake placed one hand on either side of her, effectively boxing her in.

“That is exactly what I am saying,” she said. He was so arrogant. He set her nerves on edge. He played with her affections and her very grasp on reality. He made her heart race, and he made her crave kisses that drove her to dizzying heights of pleasure. With a gaze from his darkened eyes, he made her dare to believe that she was desirable.

Overall, this book is quick paced with plenty of wit, fun times, and ironic situations to keep readers ensnared. And if you think this is it there’s a contemporary romance version coming, the snippet is in this book.
