64 Replies to “Bring on Christmas”

  1. I’ve always wanted a European vacation. Not a short week long trip either, but a couple of months so that I can take my time and really explore.

  2. I would like my own chef and personal trainer for a year. Long enough to get into shape and learn some positive habits. And complete financial independence would make a nice stocking stuffer, too!

  3. I wouldn’t necessarily want to be rich, just have enough money to know I could have a place of my own to live, pay the power bill at the end of the month, and buy groceries and a few books!
I have lived with family for 5 years now, would love to have a place of my own…

  4. I’ve noticed a lot of repeat winners! I think you need to change you App! Or better yet, choose by the most inspirable comments. I read several good ones. Just someone who loves to read, yes, a guy does read romance and isn’t gay. LOL While my wife and I suffered through 16 hours of labor, I picked up my first romance novel, and read it to her. She needed something to distract her. Taste of Surrender, such a great book. It was the only book in sight, and the only one she would allow me to read to her. She had just bought it hours before her labor began. Yes, true story. I’ve written all about it in a short novelle. Have a great day and please hurry up with Heir of Deception. My wife is dying to read all about Alex. She is addicted to your books.

  5. Books, Books and books.
If money was not an issue, a home of our own to save moving around with rentals.
And a nice cheque (check) for all my friends so they could have a stress free Christmas also.

  6. For me I want to be a famous author but only secretly! 🙂 I want to sell tons of books, I want everyone to want to purchase and read my books, BUT I don’t want anyone in my town to know that I’ve written/sold books.

Oh and a new Canon camera would be nice. 🙂

  7. @ Braun…I know a few men that read romance novels and they aren’t gay. It started simple to the way you picked up a book. Just a recommendation from a wife or etc. Btw, you aren’t the only one waiting for Alex’s story 🙂

I think I want an Ipad. I’m not really a person who desires much but I think that would be such an awesome gift. Of course, I would trade that if I could get rid of my student loans so I can totally be debt free 🙂

  8. A kindle for me and so much for my son. He’s 12. A happy life, good friends, health, a world with out another 9/11. oh yea one more thing for me a never ending supply of books!

  9. If money wasn’t an issue, these are the things I would do: go on a grand tour of Europe with fabulous friends, finally buy that coveted iPad, a new Canon camera and books! A whole library of books. 🙂 And that house on the beach that I keep walking by that’s for sale.

  10. I would LOVE to be able to fly home to Oklahoma with my husband and daughter to see our family!! That would be awesome! Other than that I would only want amazon gift cards so I could get more kindle books 🙂

  11. Oh Lord how I could use a car. I really could. But the 2nd wish would be an all expenses paid trip to Europe

  12. i think i’ll ask santa to give me ‘luck’ so i can win in every contest that i follow especially win in contest of books and all contest in the world =D

  13. I have a straight male friend who reads all my romances.

What I’d want… I dunno, most of the things I want most in life can’t be bought. Having enough money to make a sensory room for my son would be cool, and maybe try out other therapies. Build a sleeping porch and a dancing deck for my house. Or maybe just build a whole new house with all that cool stuff.

And I would love to travel all over the world without having to worry about the cost.

  14. I’d love a trip to Scotland and Italy back to back. Then complete financial independence to go with it. 🙂

  15. Of course there are many, many things I would want. To many to mention. I will say that I would love to be able to buy all of my wish ebooks on my Nook. I have well over 100 books. LOL. Now that would be fun.

  16. If it has to be something tangible then I would say a European cruise/vacation with my husband and teenage girls.

  17. So many things to choose from besides not being in debt – I definitely would love to be able to travel but since we’re talking fantasy here – I would absolutely love having a room (large) devoted just to my books. The kind with lots of nooks and crannies and a large rolling ladder to reach up to the high ceiling. I want them all sorted and in some kind of order and not piled up like they are now where I can’t even get to some of them.

  18. The only thing I want for Christmas, is what I always get. Which is a gift card to Barnes and Noble. That way I can get whatever books I desire. My hubby got me a Nook for my birthday this past July. And, I’m loving it!

  19. First and foremost I want to be free of my self imposed debt. If I was debt free I would love to take a leisurely cruise through the Mediterranean Sea. Visit tons of intersting ports in all the interesting countries that encompass the sea.
    Love & Hugs,
    Pam

  20. If money truly was no object then that Irish/Scottish trip would be wonderful. Second choice is ebooks. Really looking forward to Heir of Deception!

  21. If money were no object, my fondest desire would to have a trip to Great Britain for at least two weeks. It would be a dream come true.

  22. A ski trip with my handsome man, if we can leave our kids with the grandparents hahaha!
Otherwise what I ask for every year (and never seem to get) BOOKS!

    What a fun question!

  23. Intangible: financial comfort. Basically I always have enough, am not super rich but can afford what I need & some things wer want. I’d like this to be a constant rest of my life thing. 🙂

Tangible: an all expenses paid trip around the world. No blackout dates, no limit on how long I take in each place or if I want to jet home in the middle, room for my family to go (& childcare if we want a night without kids) & the option to go ahead alone & meet them somewhere else. That’s not too much to ask right?

  24. I would want a large dollar amount gift card (max) to Barnes and Noble and also to Amazon and a trip to Europe where I could take a vacation away from family for a couple of weeks and lie on the beaches and read…the vacation would need to include either a really great hotel with full service and meals included or a small house with a cook and maid…lol…that would be my ultimate gift!
    Great idea by the way…Thanks!

  25. I truly would want financial security as my first choice, but second would be a well-built, well-insulated, well-designed home that included a full basement, a large garage that doubled as garden shed and had a closed off area with good ventilation for a workshop all of which would be located on a large enough lot of flat land that I could have a substantial vegetable & herb garden, a good couple of berry patches, a small orchard of fruit and nut trees, an area for grape vines, a chicken coop, and a bit of untamed wilderness. All of this would be situated close enough to a city that focused on Arts&Culture, education, clean living and good health…and happened to have a solid business base for jobs. *eyeing Santa very hopefully*

  26. Simple pleasures, simple gifts. Give me a Nook (loaded with romance books of course!) and a weekend at a cabin in the woods to read to my hearts content. Hmmmm. Fires blazing. Glasses of eggnog . Cozy blanket. No kids. Great times.

  27. Financial independence would be great but I would like to have a new car for me and new truck for hubby, both of our vehicles are getting quite old and we don’t want to take a chance on going futher into debt. So we just keep driving our old cars.

  28. If I could have my heart’s desire for Christmas it would be to have my family with me and my husband for Christmas. My one son lives here in Rhode Island so we are always able to see him and his son at Christmastime but my other son and his family live in South Carolina and my son has never been able to afford to fly his wife and three children here for the holidays and we haven’t been able to afford to buy them tickets. My son and daughter-in-law both work so driving is out of the question. We have always been close and have visited them in South Carolina but my older son isn’t able to take vacation at the same time and join us so it’s been about 6 years (pre-grandchildren)since we’ve all been together.

We’re glad that my daughter-in-laws parents live close by them but wish both my boy’s families could share that very special time of the year together with us.

  29. Complete financial independence would be fantastic. I’d also enjoy a summer-long getaway to Paris, London, and Rome.

  30. If money were no object I’d want an excellent DSLR camera–with an equally nice lens and all the requisites–and a KitchenAid Stand Mixer (with all of the attachments and accessories). Otherwise, I’d want a hefty gift card to Abebooks–that site is my Achilles heel!

  31. I would like a husband, but maybe I should ask for a boyfriend first. I just want to experience romantic love firsthand.

  32. A family renioun so my ma can see her daddy here in the states and anew free house lo and nice man woulde be great!

  33. I would love a cruise around the world and would need to have a large GC to Barnes and Noble for books to read.

  34. I would love a wonderful vacation to a tropical island! 🙂 I’d also love an ereader since there are many books I’d like to read that are only in digital form and I don’t like reading on my computer.

  35. I would like a big house, with enough room for my family ( My Hubby and 2 boys, also room enough to take in family if needed)… of course it would have to be paid off (I wouldn’t want to lose it, not being able to pay the house payments). And hopefully, all the furniture needed (I don’t mind if it is just the very basics). That would be The all time Christmas present!

  36. Hmmmm anything and everything I’ve always wanted topped off with hot Swedish and Finnish man servents. 🙂

  37. I have 2 things I would wish for, only one involves a handful of money. My first wish, Peace. Sure, sound rediculous, but true. Traveling makes me nervous, but it must be done. Maybe it’s because today is 9/11. 10 years many of us have suffered heartache and pain. My family included. Secondly, I’d like to run away for a month. Escape the constant stress life brings us all. During that time I’d travel Ireland, Scottland and go visit Big Ben in the UK. It will mostlikely be the only chance to use my Passport, but a month of memories will last a lifetime. Oh as for Braun. Like Bev said…WOW! If I didn’t know better, I would say you are deeply in love with your wife. You are a rare man. I only hope love strikes me with someone with your loving devotion. Way to go for being a loving husband during the most brief, but painful time of your wife life.

  38. A totally self-sufficient ECO-House. Solar power, own water supply, a garden to feed us. Climate, planet & user friendly.

  39. I would love a tablet — doesn’t matter– Samsung, Sony — so I could download all the bookstore apps and be in hog heaven.

  40. If money was not an object I’d want a new kitchen! Mine is old, damaged and way too small. Really impractical and dark. Santa may also include a larger window, or breaking down a wall 😀 Perhaps he can do a whole remodel of the groundfloor? It is all a bit cramped and dated. Yes, I’d have dear old St Nick give me an extreme house make-over…. Building me an extension that I can use as a library & get all the 47 romance novels from my wishlist 😀

  41. I think I would love to have one of those HGTV dream houses specially built for me on a beautiful beach someplace…maybe in Australia!

  42. I think I would like for Santa to build me my own library room out back in my big yard. It would have shelves for my books, a large counter complete with a new IMac computer, an iPad, and iPhone. A new music center would also be included. A shelf for my potted plants by the large window overlooking my flower beds and a couple of nice dogge beds for my pets. A small mini refrigerator to house my chocolate and other goodies, and a comfy chair with a reading lamp. That would really be nice. As it is now, I can hardly get into my extra bedrrom for the stacks of books spread about.

  43. Well, you got me. I was going to be unselfish and ask for something touchy-feely, or something for others in my family. But if I HAVE TO BE SELFISH, I want a new car. Maybe a new Lexus or Acura. Something I get to pick out, that has whatever bells and whistles I choose. Thank you, Santa.

  44. I love the way that Karen H in NC thinks. I was gonna say a house as well. Australia sounds great but I would love a house in England.

  45. Complete financial independence so I can pursue a career as a historical romance author full-time.

A beautiful English style thatched cottage on my property with a lovely conservatory attached, a huge library with two fireplaces and wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling bookcases, and attached indoor/outdoor kennels for my dogs. With a high secure fence and privacy fence around my five acres.

AND college educations paid in full for my niece and nephews. And my mother’s complete financial security.

And for the community a huge no-kill animal shelter with a free clinic attached for needy pet owners to have their pets spayed/neutered and cared for.

  46. If money wasn’t an issue I take classes for cake decorating/baking so I could get a better paying job. I love baking so being able to get paid to do it would be awesome. Also I like Joyce’s idea of building a library in my house. Then I would have a place for all my books, I’m running out of room.

  47. Of course I would want to be debt free and financially independent, or at least financially stable! Who wouldn’t want that?

Besides that, I would want a new house – bigger, with enough rooms to turn one into a library, one into our “office”, one into my art/craft studio, one or two for guests, with a nice out of the way place to store litter boxes. I would want the home designed with cats in mind, with climbing shelves and tunnels and sunny windows galore! Plus, I love sunny windows. I’d want to copy our lovely decks, pond and landscaping into a bigger format for the new house. Also, it should have a garage big enough for both of our cars! To top it all off, once weekly maid service for life.

    Bliss!

  48. I would love to be financially independent – so that I didn’t have to worry about being unemployed still. I would also love to be able to help my children and parents and brothers. Realistically, I would like to renovate my house. It could really use new wiring and some other work done to it. I would also like to make one of the bedrooms into my library with lots of bookshelves, comfy chairs for reading and a fire place.

  49. I have good health, a fantastic family & friends and an amazing daughter all of which I am grateful for. Everything else is truly a bonus. But my wish would be to help my wonderful grandfather (who is determined to live to 90) make that next 5 years. He’s pretty independent & healthy but his mobile home really needs an overhaul or he needs a new place. Even tho, I renovated a bedroom with hopes he’d move in, nothing doing! He wants his own place & we wish we could get that for him. But because he’s proud, he’d never accept so it would have to be like an HGTV-type win! The joy it would bring him and peace of mind that we’d have knowing he was more comfortable working his way toward 90- that would be my wish 🙂

  50. Financial independence, yes. It would allow me to help my children in these difficult times. Not having school loans, mortgage payments and maybe a new car would make their lives less stressful. For me, after our debts were paid, my husband and I would plan and take all those wonderful trips we have been dreaming of.

  51. I would wish for the continued or improved health and happiness of all my loved ones. If money isn’t it issue, this is what I would want because those are things that money can’t provide. It’s so easy to take the ordinary things for granted and wish for what we don’t have, but sometimes the things we have: someone who cooks and cares for you, someone who worries about your well-being, someone who is always ready to talk to you is almost forgotten among all the wants.
