  1. Spend the day with my lovely other half – we usually go out for dinner and visit with family. There is almost always flowers and a gift waiting on the kitchen table when I get home from work.. If the weather is really nice we go out for a walk on the trails or out in the boat!

  2. A nice relaxing day of rest without any interruptions. A hot bath, a cup of coffee, and having my husband take me to a fancy restaurant for a romantic dinner.

  3. Well, I suppose the way I celebrated last one! Every friend and family member chosed a book from my wishlist and got it for me!:)
    LOTS of books on my birthday! What else could u ask for? Of course, there was also a party with everyone, that was VERY nice too!=)

  4. I wish you all the best on your birthday! I has a birthday last Sunday & we didn’t do anything of special because a day before we had a dinner at our place (which had nothing to do with my b-day). We had a guest from Hungary and she cooked the famous Hungarian speciality – goulash. Once again, Happy Birthday!

  6. Relaxing bath with a new book, my kids doing everything their supposed to topped off by a very nice dinner alone with the hubby. Ahhh one can dream!

    My ideal birthday would be to served breakfast in bed buy my loving family, be pampered all day (by not having to lift a finger) celebrate with an evening out to a great restaurant. However that is the far from reality, day usually starts with one of my children yelling at me to get up to get them breakfast, mom get me this, mom where is that, off to work then a couple of calls one from my husband asking what I will be cooking for supper when he gets home from work another call from my daughter because my son is picking on her and then a call from my son because his sister retaliated. No seriously I have a good family and my kids would bake a cake we always have supper together on birthdays and laugh about old times.

  8. It would be nice if I could take the day off and spend the day shopping for walking around a museum followed by dinner with family and of course cake.

  10. Happy Birthday, Bev! I celebrated last month with a three day cyber party at the blog and a wonderful week at home with family who came from three different states to celebrate with me. Good time making wonderful memories.

    I like to go out to dinner with my immediate family and sometimes a movie too. Then home for cake and presents lol. But as long as I don’t have to cook I’m up for anything lol.

    I like to start with breakfast in bed and then go to the beach, regardless of the weather. There can be a barbecue and cake at the beach if the weather is agreeable.

    I consider it a nice birthday if I get to go out to eat with my husband sans the kids, just us two. Oh and to see what my husband thought up to give me, he always has to tell me because he never orders it on time (an Internet shopper that is also a procrastinator). What is your ideal day like? My ideal way to celebrate my birthday would be to have a spa day and then in the evening get together with my friends and family for a nice dinner and have red velvet cake, chocolate cake and plenty of ice cream and bubbly.     I like to celebrate my birthday by taking off all house cleaning and cooking. Usually my best friend will take me out to lunch, and my wonderful husband makes a birthday cake for me and takes me out for a scrumptuous dinner.

  24. Happy Birthday, Beverley. For my birthday, my sister usually cooks a nice dinner for the family and then we have my favorite cake: chocolate and vanilla layer cake with custrad filling and whipped cream topping.

For my birthday, I like to go out to dinner with my 6 kids and 4 grandchildren…It’s so much fun sitting around, relaxing with my favorite people, laughing and enjoying their company, listening to music and allowing myself to have dessert, for a change. 🙂

  26. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D. My birthday wish for you is something similar to my last B-Day. My father came down from Germany to visit. I soon found out that he had arrived earlier than planned. When he arrived at my home..a limo was waiting…for me. I spent most of the day at this great SPA. Later the limo returned and drove me downtown to the Eagles Nest. My father met me at the door and escorted me to my seat where my children sat smiling. I not only felt loved…I felt like a Princess. I truly wish this for you. It was and will be my favorite birthday ever. Again, Happy Birthday!

  27. Happy Birthday to you. Mine is Monday. I am happy however I get to spend mine as long as it is with my kids and grandkids, usually either going out to eat or them cooking for me. I would love to have the new Elizabeth Hoyt’s book. Hope your day is great!!

  28. Happy B’day!! I just love to have it with the children as they are older now and we just go back in the memories of things and laugh, chat and eat cake! Its like one of the best time to be together when their schedules conflict so much, but we make it for the b’days. We don’t even have to do gifts most of the time, its our gift being there together. Then later on I love to just be with my hubby relaxing for the evening at home.

  30. Well, Happy Birthday! I hope you’re having a wonderful way of partying planned. For me, I LOVE to go out to my favorite restaurant followed by an hour or two at a martini bar. Can’t stay up too late as I’m getting too old.

  31. Happy Birthday! I’m not big on parties or gifts, but what I love to do is travel, especially on my B-day. This year, I couldn’t get away from work, but ideally, I spend my birthday either in some exotic locale, or else just one of my favorite national parks, like Yosemite, Zion, or the Grand Canyon.

  32. Happy Birthday! I always like to have dinner at my favorite restaurant with my familyand perhaps go to a movie, too. Then we can head home to open some presents and have cake. Simple but always fun.

    I like to spend a quiet day at home with Hubby to celebrate our joint birthday. A visit from the kids and grandkids is wonderful. And the day isn’t complete without some yummy (chocolate) birthday cake and champagne.

    I love spending my birthday with family and friends. Sometimes we go out for a meal, other times we get together at my house for food and drinks. Either is fine by me, as long as there’s cake and alcohol. *g*

    My husband and I share the same birthday so we can never do surprise ones for each other. For our last birthday, we just went out for pizza and got books at our favorite bookstore.

  36. Happy Birthday Beverley! This year will be my ideal way to spend my birthday, I’m flying to California to visit my sister, so I’ll get to spend Halloween and my birthday (the next day) with her and her family. We’ll take the grandkids trick or treating, and enjoy the time together, and top it all off with pumpkin pie, my favorite birthday treat.

  37. A perfect birthday would be a weekend at the beach with my husband and lots of books for the weekend too. Lucky for me my husband likes to read too. We would walk on the beach morning and evening with lots of relax time in between. Than at night A nice long soak in a hot tub and what ever happens with the hubby later in the night. My birthday was in Sept. and none of this happened, but I can dream right.

  39. Happy Birthday Beverly!!! A perfect birthday for me would be when my whole family is together (since some of them r in india) and i celebrate with them in a nice restaurant and cut the cake…but the cake has to be a chocolate cause i love anything to do with chocolate.

  41. A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! What I usually do on or near my Birthday is I go and spend the weekend with my sisters. We usually have a big dinner and then do a little party. It is alwaya a fun time. If I am home on my birthday I will spend the day reading.

    We (co-workers) always like to surprise our friends when they birthday so we will buy the birthday’s cake and then give to them and we will take a pic then and we will going to celebrate by going to restaurant we like

    Well, since my birthday is on New Year’s Eve’s Eve (aka Dec 30th) we usually just celebrate it by going out on for New Year’s or having friends over to watch the ball drop with margaritas or whatever our drink of the month is.

  51. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We spent this evening celebrating the birthday of a friend who shares the day with you. I hope you had as much fun as we did.

    My ideal way of celebrating is to travel. Last year I planned a trip to New Orleans for my husband’s birthday. This year we may go back for mine. Usually, however, we are home for birthdays and celebrate them with our children and their families.

    My usual birthday celebration these days is that my mom babysits and my husband and I spend an evening alone at a hotel. I can’t think of anything more ideal than that.

  56. My birthday has actually always been bad luck somehow (really), so I’m used to laying low. I would Love Love if next March I had a Fun birthday where all issues Stay Away. I would love to either have a low key vacation with old friends or something exciting (bungee jumping would be nice). Really though, even with bad luck stuff, my birthday would be perfect if people remembered it and my husband (who works out of town) and kids were all able to spend time with me and just enjoy being together.

  60. It was y 50th birthday on 3rd October. To celebrate my husband and I went to Rome for a week.

  61. My favorite birthday is sharing my chocolate angel food cake with chocolate whipped cream frosting with my family and friends. I like to relax, to read and to take a long walk.

When I was still living near my children, we would go to dinner and since my daughter’s birthday is the week after mine, it would be a twofer! Now, the kids are 800 miles away…so I look forward to receiving gifts in the mail.     I think that a great meal shared with good friends. Laughter, interesting conversation and many smiles are the BEST way to celebrate. But I also loved going to bed late while still reading a chapter or two in a gorgeous romance novel & eating some leftover cake 😀

  66. The perfect way for me to celebrate my birthday is to have the whole family get involved in elaborate and fun home cooked meals inclusive of dessert, though the latter need not be cake and the dinner candles on the table are sufficient for me to blow out when we have had our fill.
