I have read works from this author yet, it sounds great.
never heard of this series
Oh my lol!…love the title. The movie (excellent btw) was on BET last night and my hubby and I watched it again for the zillionth time. We sing that song all the time too. As usual AVON has done a fantastic job with the cover. I enjoy Maya’s books and look forward to this one very much! It sounds great! I want it very badly!! 🙂
some of her older books are more traditional in historical writing in style. I think she’s been using more and more modern analogies as she writes.

I haven’t read any of Maya Rodale’s books yet either, but I story about a Duke always draws my attention!
Sexy cover 😛
Love Maya Books 💕
It’s been awhile since I’ve read one of her books. I like the Blurb. Should be a fascinating book.

I liked the first book in this series, as well as The Wicked Wallflower from the last series. I don’t have an issue with the modern voice in historical romance , so I think I will be OK with this storytelling. Love the cover on this, too!
I agree that historical novels should have the feel of authenticity for the time in which they are set. One that can be interchanged with a contemporary setting doesn’t work for me. If I like the author and/or their style, I will overlook some of these flaws and just enjoy the story. It sounds like that would be necessary in this case.
