I have a very tight schedule to get The Season out on a monthly basis  (Which makes me think that going back to bi-monthly would be a better deal. I will mull this over).  So in order to highlight my Top Picks on the respective homepages of each genre, I need to have the reviews in hand prior to my go-live date for that month. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen some of the time–okay, maybe more times than that. What this means is that books that should have been Top Picks are not.

Well today, I want to recognize the Top Picks from July – September that should have been, but because of circumstances beyond the author’s control, did not get that designation. Just click on the cover to go to the review page. Let me know if any spark your interest based on the review.

  1. Totally agree about “A Little Bit Wild” — I totally *heart* Jude, and even when I wanted to hate Marissa I couldn’t. The scene where Marissa is listing possible blackmailers and her brothers are horrified while Jude has to excuse himself because he finds it so hysterically funny was absolutely priceless! A definite must read.

  2. Oooo. I have ‘His for the Taking’ in my TBR pile, based on that rating, I will move it to the top of the heap. And bonus, Model Nathan Kamp is on the cover *drool*

  3. Thanks for the reviews. I’ve read a couple of these and the Victoria Dahl book is now on my list.

  4. Would really like to read The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks, Killing Me Softly by Maggie Shayne and Deadly Fear by Cynthia Eden.

  5. Thanks for doing this Bev. I really want to get some of these books. So many books and not rich enough! But I recommend Deadly Fear. It was a good suspense/thriller.

  6. No, no … not bi-monthly!!! What would we do for one whole month in between???

That said, I’ve got Victoria Dahl in my wish list. Thanks.

  7. HIS FOR THE TAKING sounds like a winner! I have a pirate in my ancestry and I enjoy pirate/privateer stories.
THE DARKEST HOUR appeals to me also. Great cover!

  8. I have Kate’s, Maggie’s, & Cynthia’s in my to be read pile. Adding the others to my reading too. The Quick and Thread one catches my attention. I have been wanting to read this author. Will have to pick up this book now.
