On a more sober note, it has come to my attention that there are some who are trying to ‘game the system’ by entering contests more than once using a different name and email address. I know who these individuals are. And I can tell when you do it. This is absolutely NOT tolerated on this blog. The moment I discover you are doing this or have done this, you will be disqualified from winning a prize on The Season site, blog and my personal website. You won’t get a warning, I will simply just cut you off from ever winning. When I hold contests where multiple entries are permitted, I will and have stated so very clearly in the rules. And for everyone (97% of you) who do abide by the rules and adhere to a strict sense of fair play, thank you and I apologize that you have to read this.

  4. Congratulations to the winners! And I agree with Susan, I am sorry that you are having to police your own generous contests. As if they weren’t generous enough already, I don’t feel at all that I need to cheat to have a chance at winning.

    What a shame Beverley, that with all you do for the readers, you now have something that should be totally unnecessary to deal with. C’on people! I love to win as much as next person does and as far as purchasing new books, my financial status is probably worse than anybody elses on here, but grow up!! Play fair and don’t add to Beverley’s work.

  20. I am ashamed to admit it, but I was one of the ones who entered twice with two different emails. I really didn’t consider it cheating or bending the rules, but after reading your post, Bev, I do now. Hangs head in shame… Please forgive me and give me another chance. I promise that it will never ever happen again. Again, I am truly sorry.

    Sorry you are having problems with posters. Too many sites are having the same problem. A few people not playing nicely ruin it for everyone.
