He can\u2019t help his attraction to the small, dark hair woman, despite the fact that she is the weirdest woman he has ever met. He tries to get to know her but she leaves with her friends in a limo that has a freak accident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rachel Kessler tries to stay hidden from the public after her abduction as a child. Being the only child of a tech billionaire puts her in at danger. One night at her friend\u2019s bachelorette party puts her back in danger. After Fred saves her, she is scared that the media explosion will put her face on the front line. Not to mention her over protective father decides to hire Fred to be her temporary bodyguard while he gives an important testimony.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the story makes little sense. I didn\u2019t buy the fact that Rachel\u2019s father would ask Fred to be her bodyguard for two weeks when he is just a firefighter. He is a billionaire and could have hired anyone (heck, maybe a Navy SEAL) to be her security detail until he returned from his trip. Somehow he hires Fred without really knowing him. It doesn\u2019t ring true for an overbearing father.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I liked Fred as a stand-a-lone character but Rachel brings little to nothing to the storyline. She has been through a lot but she is almost a shell of a woman at times. Fred is a good choice for her HEA since he is more outgoing and has more dealings with the real world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fred\u2019s neighbors add some comic relief throughout the book. The little boys are hilarious. They are in the mix and they embarrass Fred every single time. I love them. I\u2019m glad to see pop ups from some of my favorite characters and I want to know what happens for Mulligan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I just read on Ms. Bernard\u2019s website that this is the sixth and final installation of the series. However, I see that she has a Christmas novella due this year based on another character.
