But what happens when love finds her?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Sophie Wells is a successful photographer with a focus on putting the past firmly behind her. When Josh Strachan returns to the seaside town of Cornwall from the States to run his family&#8217;s hotel, he can&#8217;t understand why the fun, sexy girl has zero interest in letting him-or any man for that matter-into her life. He also can&#8217;t understand how he&#8217;s been duped into employing Sophie&#8217;s impulsive friend Tula, whose crush on him is decidedly unrequited. Both girls remain mum about the reasons behind Sophie&#8217;s indifference to love. But that doesn&#8217;t mean Josh is going to quit trying&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"center\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"none-decoration\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/smittenbybooks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/review-sheilabold.jpg?resize=216%2C62\" alt=\"review-sheilabold\" width=\"216\" height=\"62\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sophie Wells has been betrayed in the past. Her tainted views of the world leave her trying to push past her pain. Her good friend, Tula, is there to help her. Sophie finds solace in the company of hotel owner, Josh Strachan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Josh has his work cut out for him when he arrives in Cornwall. Sophie is not willing to let him in her life. Through some funny events, he works his way slowly into her heart. The slow build is worth the wait but some serious issues have to be dealt with before they can move forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0The author has a way of crafting a story and making a beautiful picture. I really enjoyed Sophie as a character. At times, she is overshadowed by Tula. I find myself admiring how the author manages to tackle deeper issues while maintaining humor and seriousness at the same time<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, while I did enjoy this cute and humorous story, it is not as memorable. I felt myself more intrigued by Tula and her love interest. Josh\u2019s grandparents find themselves reconnecting as well. The story lines intertwine and connect bringing the romance for each couple together nicely. However, the ending felt rushed. I wanted more out of the happily ever after. For this book to be over four hundred pages, the sweet ending didn\u2019t have that romantic impact on me that I normally get out of books.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I still recommend reading this well written, sweet and funny book.
