Lisa Renee Jones<\/em><\/strong> introduces a brand new series surrounding deceit, vengeance, power and family.<\/em><\/p>

Shane Brandon is back home to help his family\u2019s enterprise stay clear of the corruption that his father and brother have brought to the family\u2019s legacy. His father\u2019s health is rapidly declining and Shane is torn between sticking around to help him build back the legacy or returning to New York to continue his rise as a no-nonsense attorney. A chance encounter in a coffee shop with a beautiful brunette changes the course of everything for Shane.<\/p>

Emily Stevens is running. She needs a job and stability quick. Her run in with Shane is everything but stable and calm. He sees right through to her core and her instinct is to run. Instead of running, she agrees to one night with Shane to get him out of her system. Nothing is ever simple with Emily and her one-night turn into so much more.<\/p>

Hard Rules<\/strong> is a family saga full of greed, lies and power plays. Each chapter is like a move in a chess game. No character is completely good or bad. There is no clear definition of anyone\u2019s intentions. I became completely enthralled with the story as I tried to figure out what was going on. At this point, I\u2019m not sure who can be trusted.<\/p>

The chemistry between Emily and Shane is intense. They are both clear that a relationship would never work and they shouldn\u2019t continue seeing each other but the magnetic pull is stronger than either one of them care to admit. The love scenes are hot! I love the intensity of them.<\/p>

Brandon Enterprises is into some shady business. There is blackmail, drugs, and scandal looming over Shane\u2019s head. Despite all of that, my attention was more drawn to Emily and the secrets she harbors. There are some clues but I can\u2019t be 100% certain with all of the craziness that is going on.<\/p>

I\u2019m not sure why the blurb for this book references Sons of Anarchy because I didn\u2019t get similarities from the book. I did like that each chapter began with a quote from a fictional or real-life organized crime member.<\/p>

Hard Rules<\/strong> ends on a cliff hanger and I am anxious to see what happens with Emily and Shane.<\/p>

I became completely enthralled with the story as I tried to figure out what was going on. At this point, I\u2019m not sure who can be trusted.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The chemistry between Emily and Shane is intense. They are both clear that a relationship would never work and they shouldn\u2019t continue seeing each other but the magnetic pull is stronger than either one of them care to admit. The love scenes are hot! I love the intensity of them.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brandon Enterprises is into some shady business. There is blackmail, drugs, and scandal looming over Shane\u2019s head. Despite all of that, my attention was more drawn to Emily and the secrets she harbors. There are some clues but I can\u2019t be 100% certain with all of the craziness that is going on.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I\u2019m not sure why the blurb for this book references Sons of Anarchy because I didn\u2019t get similarities from the book.
