Sophie Bigelow<\/strong> is the little genius in her family. She doesn\u2019t care about clothes like her sister. She doesn\u2019t know how to socially hang whenever she is out. Her game is numbers and she is more than perfectly fine with being the nerd in the family. Since her sister is getting married in a small coastal town, she decides to just find some random man to give her virginity to so she can say she at least accomplished something socially.<\/p>

Cain Jordan<\/strong> is the screw-up in his family. He doesn\u2019t care what anyone thinks. He follows his own rules. Alcohol is the name of his game. The more he can drown his sorrows the better. He never expected to meet Sophie. She is not his type but her straight forward awkwardness calls to him. He knows he can show her a good time. The problem is that he never imagined wanting her to stick around.<\/p>

It has been so long since I picked up a book by Ms. McCarthy and I could kick myself. I forgot how well she writes fun and easy going contemporary romances. The Hookup is such a great reintroduction to her works and I could not be happier.<\/p>

The story is written in such an authentic manner dealing with some heavy issues. The Jordans have a lot of drama for small town living. I could only imagine the struggles living there. The characters are multi-layered and real that I found myself rooting for them.<\/p>

I really liked Sophie. She isn\u2019t as socially disabled as she liked to put on. She was pretty quick to get things. Her frankness is pretty refreshing. It is nice to have a woman say what she wants in Romancelandia.<\/p>

Cain is a troubled man and the entire book I kept holding my breath to see what would be the thing that would make him see the light. Sophie constantly providing him with encouragement and love is exactly what he needed. I still felt that things wrapped up too nicely for him. He had serious issues and he possibly couldn\u2019t forgive his brother just that easily. I needed more on that subject matter.<\/p>

The connection between Sophie and Cain is good. I loved the author\u2019s realistic portrayal of a woman losing her virginity and starting her sexual journey. Sophie was not that coordinated in the bedroom but Cain helped her each time.<\/p>

Overall, this is a fast-paced, easy read. I look forward to the next book in the series.<\/p>

Since her sister is getting married in a small coastal town, she decides to just find some random man to give her virginity to so she can say she at least accomplished something socially.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cain Jordan<\/strong> is the screw-up in his family. He doesn\u2019t care what anyone thinks. He follows his own rules. Alcohol is the name of his game. The more he can drown his sorrows the better. He never expected to meet Sophie. She is not his type but her straight forward awkwardness calls to him. He knows he can show her a good time. The problem is that he never imagined wanting her to stick around.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It has been so long since I picked up a book by Ms. McCarthy and I could kick myself. I forgot how well she writes fun and easy going contemporary romances. The Hookup is such a great reintroduction to her works and I could not be happier.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The story is written in such an authentic manner dealing with some heavy issues. The Jordans have a lot of drama for small town living. I could only imagine the struggles living there. The characters are multi-layered and real that I found myself rooting for them.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I really liked Sophie. She isn\u2019t as socially disabled as she liked to put on. She was pretty quick to get things. Her frankness is pretty refreshing. It is nice to have a woman say what she wants in Romancelandia.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cain is a troubled man and the entire book I kept holding my breath to see what would be the thing that would make him see the light. Sophie constantly providing him with encouragement and love is exactly what he needed. I still felt that things wrapped up too nicely for him. He had serious issues and he possibly couldn\u2019t forgive his brother just that easily. I needed more on that subject matter.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The connection between Sophie and Cain is good. I loved the author\u2019s realistic portrayal of a woman losing her virginity and starting her sexual journey. Sophie was not that coordinated in the bedroom but Cain helped her each time.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Overall, this is a fast-paced, easy read.
