Once she is there, she discovers a letter from her childhood pen pal, Griffin Quinn. Several years have passed since their last correspondence and Luca\u2019s life has changed dramatically. Nonetheless, she is startled at the hostility of Griffin\u2019s tone. The pain she caused by ceasing all communication with him prompts her to reach back out to him.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Griffin\u2019s life is so different from what Luca has to deal with. He is happy to have his best friend back despite feeling really sad to discover that Luca has Agoraphobia (a person afraid of places that causes panic) after a traumatic event when she was seventeen. They strike up a relationship via letters that leave Luca wanting to desperately try to find a way to be more than friends.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is where everything gets interesting. This story got real very quickly and it put me in an emotional turmoil because I wasn\u2019t too sure how this would work. The issues that Luca face are very real. I felt the undeniable chemistry from just the letters but when they finally meet, it is chart topping.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I love me some Griffin. He is just the kindest and sweetest man. He stuck it out no matter what. Luca threw in the towel so many times but he held firm for her.<\/p><blockquote class=\"quotes\"><p><em>\u201cWe all have light and dark inside us, love. We try to hide the darkness from others because we\u2019re afraid it will scare them away. But your dark doesn\u2019t scare me, Luca. It only makes me want to hold your hand and be your light until you can find your own again.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em>I held my breath to calm some of my own anxiety because it was all too much to deal with. How does this real life issues hold up in romance?<\/p><blockquote class=\"quotes\"><p><em>\u201cIt will never be perfect. It will never not be scary. So if you\u2019re waiting for this to not feel terrifying, it never will. There will be hard times. But there will amazing ones, too. You have to decide whether we\u2019re worth the hardships. In the end, it\u2019s going to come down to one thing: whether love is enough\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By the end of the book, after several tears, I smiled. The journey is worth it. I love the story and all its heaviness. This story got real very quickly and it put me in an emotional turmoil because I wasn\u2019t too sure how this would work. The issues that Luca face are very real. I felt the undeniable chemistry from just the letters but when they finally meet, it is chart topping.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I love me some Griffin. He is just the kindest and sweetest man. He stuck it out no matter what. Luca threw in the towel so many times but he held firm for her.<\/p><blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe all have light and dark inside us, love. We try to hide the darkness from others because we\u2019re afraid it will scare them away. But your dark doesn\u2019t scare me, Luca.
