The Billionaire in Boots<\/strong> is the third book in The Princes of Texas<\/em> series by Julia London<\/strong><\/em>, and follows Nick<\/strong>, the first-born son in the infamous Prince family of Texas. The previous two books in the series outlined the death of the Prince siblings\u2019 father and the various consequences of many of his actions. Nick Prince was called home from his true passion of becoming a pilot to take over the family ranch and clean up the mess his father left.<\/p>

Meanwhile, Charlotte Bailey<\/strong> has been the office manager for the ranch for many years and is trying her best to help Nick during this transition period. Charlotte and Nick are both hot headed and trying to maintain a professional relationship while ignoring the sparks between them.<\/p>

I really enjoyed the start of Charlotte and Nick\u2019s relationship, they were both trying their best to keep their cool around each other and would have very funny exchanges through emails. I was often smiling or laughing at their conversations and the sexual tension between them was palpable. It kept me on my toes for when the attraction would be too much for them to both handle professionally. I really liked how much of a strong female character Charlotte was; she knows exactly what she is worth both to the ranch as well as a female in her romantic relationships. Charlotte was not afraid to fight back when Nick was being rude or dismissive of her. I did also like Nick as well, I felt for him since he was not pursuing his true passion but doing what he thought was necessary for his family. I found that I was often rolling my eyes at Nick though, he overthinks things a lot but does not always express the things he is feeling. Nick reminded me of many real life guys who cannot express how they are feeling about a relationship and push off any real discussions until it all comes to a head.<\/p>

I got a little bored of the story towards the end of the book. There was a lot of internal monologue for both Charlotte and Nick, and not a lot of action. In my opinion the whole story could have been maybe a third shorter than it was, I found myself losing interest and skimming through the pages at the end. I noticed that this would happen to me with the previous two books in this series as well.<\/p>

Overall I do recommend this book, but would caution that it is a bit long winded.<\/p>

The previous two books in the series outlined the death of the Prince siblings\u2019 father and the various consequences of many of his actions. Nick Prince was called home from his true passion of becoming a pilot to take over the family ranch and clean up the mess his father left.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, <strong>Charlotte Bailey<\/strong> has been the office manager for the ranch for many years and is trying her best to help Nick during this transition period. Charlotte and Nick are both hot headed and trying to maintain a professional relationship while ignoring the sparks between them.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I really enjoyed the start of Charlotte and Nick\u2019s relationship, they were both trying their best to keep their cool around each other and would have very funny exchanges through emails. I was often smiling or laughing at their conversations and the sexual tension between them was palpable. It kept me on my toes for when the attraction would be too much for them to both handle professionally. I really liked how much of a strong female character Charlotte was; she knows exactly what she is worth both to the ranch as well as a female in her romantic relationships. Charlotte was not afraid to fight back when Nick was being rude or dismissive of her. I did also like Nick as well, I felt for him since he was not pursuing his true passion but doing what he thought was necessary for his family. I found that I was often rolling my eyes at Nick though, he overthinks things a lot but does not always express the things he is feeling. Nick reminded me of many real life guys who cannot express how they are feeling about a relationship and push off any real discussions until it all comes to a head.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I got a little bored of the story towards the end of the book. There was a lot of internal monologue for both Charlotte and Nick, and not a lot of action. In my opinion the whole story could have been maybe a third shorter than it was, I found myself losing interest and skimming through the pages at the end.
