Can the two women help each other and what is their mysterious neighbor, <strong>Georgia<\/strong>, hiding?<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">This book is told from three points-of-view:\u00a0 Cora, Paige, and Georgia. Both Paige and Cora are curious about their new neighbor Georgia who keeps to herself, raising her baby and rarely leaving the home she shares with her husband Lucas. Everyone in this neighborhood seems to be keeping secrets and these three women are no exception. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, there would be another surprising revelation.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">This is the second book I\u2019ve read by this author and as expected, <strong>On A Quiet Street<\/strong> is a well-written and suspenseful book. There are also some wonderful moments of humor, especially when Paige is narrating the story. However, the overall mood of this book is sad and there are scenes describing domestic abuse that I found very disturbing. Even the characters who are generally likable make some really strange decisions that are hard to justify. It is clever the way the author connects the stories of all three of the women and everyone\u2019s stories have several twists and turns. The ending is both unexpected and satisfying. Even though I like the suspense and the plot twists, overall the book is darker than I care for. Just when I thought I knew what was going on, there would be another surprising revelation.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">This is the second book I\u2019ve read by this author and as expected, <strong>On A Quiet Street<\/strong> is a well-written and suspenseful book. There are also some wonderful moments of humor, especially when Paige is narrating the story. However, the overall mood of this book is sad and there are scenes describing domestic abuse that I found very disturbing. Even the characters who are generally likable make some really strange decisions that are hard to justify. It is clever the way the author connects the stories of all three of the women and everyone\u2019s stories have several twists and turns. The ending is both unexpected and satisfying. Even though I like the suspense and the plot twists, overall the book is darker than I care for.
