\"\"This is my special boy, Elliot, the first of our four rescues. I named him after the hero in my first book, MY FALSE HEART<\/strong><\/span>, because like all alpha bad-boys, he wasn’t REALLY bad, just misunderstood. Of course, he’s sitting on the kitchen table, where he definitely ISN’T supposed to be, but when you’re than handsome, you can get away with stuff.<\/p>\n

\"\"This is Elliot’s brother, Pelham and his sister Mary, the inspirations for Lord Ruthveyn’s cats, Silk and Satin. \u00a0We got them at the pound about three weeks after Elliot. \u00a0It took the dog catcher three trips, answering a feral cat complaint. \u00a0We agreed to take the whole family. \u00a0Sadly, we never got the Mamma Cat and the last kitten. \u00a0Mary is still very feral, but Pelham is a snuggler. \u00a0He has come a long way from being a wild alley cat. \u00a0It has been so rewarding to work with ferals, and see them learn to live a normal life.<\/p>\n

\"\"And here is Stuart, the most un-feral cat in the universe. \u00a0We got him at the pound a year later, and life hasn’t been the same since. \u00a0He has an outsized, dog-like personality and loves everyone. \u00a0Loves them until they run screaming from our house. \u00a0Just doesn’t get the concept of “personal space.” \u00a0 Here he is in the back garden, wearing his harness. \u00a0My husband let him off his leash. \u00a0He is the only cat who goes outside — but only with supervision.<\/p>\n
