The Angsty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>What Kind of Hero Do You Like?<\/strong><\/span><\/span> By <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tracywolff.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Tracy Wolff<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For those readers who have read my books, either as <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tracywolff.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tracy Wolff<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tracywolff.com\/tessa-adams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Tessa Adams<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, they know that I like my heroes tall, dark and angsty.\u00a0 I mean, seriously angsty.\u00a0 I love me a bad boy (and I know I\u2019m not the only one who feels that way.\u00a0 But for my new book, <span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>UNGUARDED<\/strong><\/span>, the third in my recent Superromance trilogy, I thought I\u2019d try something new.\u00a0 Not only looks-wise (although Shawn\u2019s looks are way different than my usual heroes since he\u2019s a blue-eyed blond) but also in attitude.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5421\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5421\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/theseasonforromance.com\/december_contemp_2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5421  \" title=\"unguarded\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theseasonforromance.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/unguarded.jpg?resize=210%2C332\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"332\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5421\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Click to read Top Pick review!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>An archetype book by Tami Cowden claims there are eight main archetypes for heroes: the chief, the bad boy, the best friend, the charmer, the professor, the lost soul, the swashbuckler and the warrior.\u00a0 I have a tendency, no matter what I\u2019m writing whether it\u2019s paranormal, YA, contemporary or erotica, to write the bad boy or the lost soul, although I have also done the warrior and the chief (both of whom were liberally sprinkled with bad boy, just to make me happy \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 But this time around, I went totally out of my comfort zone and wrote a charmer.\u00a0 A serious charmer with best friend overtones and I have to admit, I\u2019m really thrilled with how Shawn turned out.<\/p>\n<p>My heroine, Rhiannon, has a really dark past.\u00a0 The survivor of a brutal rape that ruined her self-confidence, her career and her marriage, she has spent the last few years trying to make a new life for herself, but struggling under some really heavy obstacles.\u00a0 I was completely intrigued with Rhiannon when she showed up in <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>BEGINNING WITH THEIR BABY<\/strong><\/span> and knew that I had to give her her own story.\u00a0 But when I started to give her a hero like I normally write, I knew that wasn\u2019t going to work.\u00a0 She didn\u2019t need a dark hero with a terrible past\u2014she needed some sweet and funny and absolutely crazy about her.\u00a0 Graphic novelist Shawn Emerson was born, and though he has some darkness in his own past, he does an amazing job (I think \ud83d\ude09 of drawing Rhiannon out of her shell and helping her find her way again.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5422\" title=\"Beginning_with_their_baby\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theseasonforromance.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/Beginning_with_their_baby1.jpg?resize=120%2C190\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"190\" \/>So, how about you?\u00a0 What kind of heroes do you like?\u00a0 The chiefs who so often make up<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eharlequin.com\/store.html?cid=230\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Silhouette Desire<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eharlequin.com\/store.html?cid=226\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Harlequin Presents<\/strong><\/a>?\u00a0 The\u00a0 best friend?\u00a0 The swashbuckler?\u00a0 Or are you like me\u2014the badder the boy or the more lost the soul, the more I love him?\u00a0 <strong>Leave a comment for a chance to win <span style=\"color: #800000;\">BEGINNING WITH THEIR BABY<\/span>, the second book in the trilogy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-5418\" data-postid=\"5418\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-5418 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What Kind of Hero Do You Like?
