So today I crunched the numbers on the free downloads of ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE & SEDUCTION<\/a><\/strong>, and so far as of 10-29-2011, I can tell you there have been 173,289<\/strong> downloads from Amazon<\/a><\/strong>, B&N<\/a><\/strong>, iBookstore<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and Sony<\/a><\/strong>. My ultimate goal as I’ve stated in prior posts is 250,000–that’s also when I’ll celebrate by giving away a Kindle Fire. \u00a0Do I believe it’s attainable goal? Absolutely, or I wouldn’t have put it out there. Do I think it’s an easy goal to achieve? Nope, but then nothing and I repeat nothing<\/em> about being a successful author is. And since I’ve always been a pretty ambitious person, I’m striving to be as successful as I possibly can.<\/p>\n


\nMany of my readers have asked me what’s next after AN HEIR OF DECEPTION<\/a><\/strong>. Well, I’m taking the plunge and switching gears for a bit to write a contemporary novella. It will be the introduction to my Creme de la Creme<\/em> series, which is about three friends \u00a0who decide to open an upscale bakery together specializing in French pastries. \u00a0In the novella, to which I have no title yet but on some days fondly call ‘Kick Him to the Curb’<\/em>\u00a0and on others, ‘Ultimatum’<\/em>, a week before her 30th birthday, my heroine ends her two year long relationship with her 35 year old ex-football player boyfriend, who is not ready to go another round with the marriage institution. Unfortunately, for him (our stubborn hero) more than marriage, he detests the thought of his<\/em> girlfriend all free and single or,\u00a0even worse<\/em>, with somebody else. I’m looking for a title that somehow relates to food, pastries, baking, what have you. Any suggestions will be most welcome. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

After I go contemp for a bit, I’ll come back to historical romances and I will finish the first book in The Temptresses<\/em> series, which will spin off The Elusive Lords<\/em>. The first book in the series is titled TWICE THE TEMPTATION<\/strong> and features Catherine (Charlotte’s twin) and Lucas (American business man introduced in An Heir of Deception). \u00a0Here’s the a short blurb that summarizes the series:<\/p>\n
