First and foremost, to all those who celebrate this day:

HAPPY EASTER!

Second, the May issue of The Season is up–yeah just in time for the May releases, which will begin coming out on Tuesday. I’ve made some changes to the book pages and added Comment/Rating functionality for all books. I’ll be giving out weekly books (5 new releases) to readers who post reviews and one $25 Gift Certificate monthly. Watch out in the coming months for even more changes like weekly rankings by Page Views and Review Ratings.

In the meanwhile, I hope you’ll check out the new issue and click the Facebook ‘Like’ link below ARCHIVES on the homepage.

Have a great Easter Sunday! I’ll see you tomorrow.

  1. Happy Easter, Bev!

I like the new features, especially the review being on the same page and an area for reader’s comments. I have one suggestion though: On the main web page, could you put a list of that month’s exceptional books that rate a 9 or 10? You list the top picks on the review page, but I don’t see it on the site map. That way, if there’s an author we’ve never read who is a top pick, then we would be more likely to read the review and see if it’s a book worth trying. Not many people will click on every review, but if we know the stand-outs for the month, then we’d at least read those reviews. If you don’t like this idea, then is there a link where we could get the title and rating without clicking on each review? Again this would get us to read the reviews that don’t necessarily just include our must-read authors.

  2. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! 🙂

Great updates Bev! I’m really enjoying looking around! 🙂

  3. Happy Easter to you too.
Like the format when I first checked the site. Will have to go back and explore it more thoroughly when I have a bit more time. Will have to check out the books up for review. I am always so far behind the curve of what is coming out I probably won’t be able to do many.

  4. Loving the new format. Can’t wait until everyone starts posting about the books.

  5. I like the new format. The only thing I would like to have added is a ‘next’ and ‘previous’ button added to each book page.

  6. looked at some of the new features & liked what I saw. I appreciate the one page view of the books being issued for the month and being able to click to the review from there. Neat idea to let non-reviewers also comment on the books for additional feedback. 🙂

  7. I like the new design but would like to have next and previous buttons to go through the categories instead of having to go back to the category page.
