In a perfect world, my novella ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE & SEDUCTION would have come out when I first said it would on April 12th. Yep, I set that date when I was wearing those rose-colored lenses. I’m not sure I was really taking in to mind the enormity of everything I had on my plate: mother, worker–killer commute, website review site & blog, author. So what ended up happening is I totally underestimated how quickly I could get my books done.
Well, this weekend I finished the novella and sent it off to my CP/editor and she basically said it needs more work. And she’s right. Lesson, don’t try to include a subplot in a 30k novella. It just doesn’t work. So I’m going to start revisions on novella this week. But this means the release date is pushed further back. At this point I don’t even want to give a date because I don’t want to be wrong again.
But here’s what I can promise. The novella will be out early summer and AN HEIR OF DECEPTION will be out this Fall. To everyone who wrote asking when the books are coming out, thank you for your emails and enthusiasm for the series. I want to put out the very best work I possibly can, so I’m not going to put something out that’s not ready for primetime just to have something out there.
Sooooo…because it’s Memorial Day and we’re heading into a new month, I’m giving away the following 5 books. Comment to enter to win.
I’m sure it’s worth the wait!
It’s best to make sure you’re completely happy with the book instead of rushing to finish. Thanks for another great giveaway. Sweet Possession is on my wish list!
The best of luck on meeting your expectations, and getting your work out when you want to. Happy Memorial day!
Hahaha I kept looking for the novella on Amazon and couldn’t find it. It’s nice to know the progress. 🙂
I’m looking forward to reading ALL’S FAIR when it’s out. I’m sure the delay will be worth it in the end. Thanks for the give away I’ve been waiting for Lord Langley to come out.
It’s not a perfect world, and we mere mortals are not perfect. No worries. It will get here when it gets here and we will be happy regardless. Thanks for all your hard work, I for one greatly appreciate it 😉 Happy Memorial Day!
Make sure it is perfect. that is what you should do. Behappy
I know you hold yourself to such a high standard and that all of your work is SO worth waiting for that the wait will seem like nothing once we have your latest in our hot little hands! Never apologize for wanting to only put your best work out there for people to read!
A good book makes readers happier than a rushed book – and waiting heightens the anticipation (which is an essential romance element, is it not?). We’re all looking forward to it!
It’s important to get things right; reader can tell if a work has been rushed. Good luck on your novella!
Thank you for keeping us upto date on the progress of your Novella. No good rushing something if it’s not quite ready. I’m a bit like that. I aim for something and, then boom, I’m still not done so, have to push things back a bit too. Don’t worry, it will all be worth the wait in the end. Thanks for this awesome giveaway. I love Elizabeth’s books and would dearly love to win Lord Langley is back in Town.
Those books looks good.
Everything’s will worth the wait. it’s okay for us 🙂
I have all of these on my wishlist. I can’t wait to read them.
Bev, I can’t wait to read your book and I have no problem waiting for it. I just know it’s going to be good. Good luck with everything.
All of these look great, 4 of them are on my wishlist. Well…as they say patience is a virtue so I’ll just patiently wait for All’s Fair in Love and Seduction…lol…I can totally understand overcomitting oneself!
If I can wait almost six years for George R. R. Martin to finish the next in his Song of Ice and Fire series I think I can stand to wait a few more months for you to perfect your stories. Quality over quantity (and deadlines) every time.
Oh my goodness Bev! I can’t wait for the novella and An Heir of Deception. I know they’re both going to be awesome!
These books are on my wishlist. So thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
I know how you feel about setting personal deadlines and not factoring life in there. But putting the time in it to make it fantastic will be worth it in the end.
I’m sure the wait for the novella will be worth it. =)
Good thinks are worth the wait. I am relly looking forward to these books coming out. Some of the one’s you are giving away are ones taht have been on my list for months so I would LOVE to win these. Thank you for the update and the giveaway.

Keep writing and revising. The hard work will always pay off! Can’t wait to read them 🙂
It seems as if I just changed the calendar…whoops, that’s right, I just did since I was still on April until last night… Can’t wait for Lord Langley!
The best laid plans and all that. Funny how life can get in the way of…. life. We will just have to anticipate these stories a bit longer. The extra work you are doing will make them that much more worth waiting for. Time seems to have speeded up and everyone is behind the power curve.
I know for sure the waiting is worth it. I’m looking forward to the novella.
And thank you for this wonderful giveaway!
Good luck with the revisions.
It will be worth the wait. Thanks for the giveaway

Enter me!
Best wishes and much success.
Best of luck with the revisions! And we will still be here eagerly awaiting the releases, but don’t kill yourself trying to get them to us. We all understand the workload you are under being all of the above that you mentioned. And if I remember correctly, well at least where the books come from, you deal with some major traffic in your area and the commute sucks! I have done it.
Thanks for the giveaway and the heads up on the approximate release times.
If you’re happy with it, I’m happy with it 🙂 Thanks for another great giveaway.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Remember the adage, “Man plans. God laughs.” At least you’re laughing with God…Good luck finishing up. I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Thanks for another great giveaway.
Thanks for the great giveaway. Hope all goes well with your revisions.
If it’s not right, it needs to be fixed… simple. I don’t mind the wait, rather hold it off a bit then be disappointed.
Great books!! and best of luck with the changes.
Oh me please. I’m sure many of us do not mind the wait.
I don’t mind the wait. It will be worth it!
I would much prefer you to take whatever time it takes to make sure that the story is everything that it can be, and that includes editing and formatting. I’d rather wait a little longer, and don’t mind that you aren’t going to give a firm date because I know you’ll let us know when it is ready to buy 🙂
I have been anxiously awaiting All’s Fair in Love and Seduction. I know it will take you some time, but in the end, it will be worth the wait. I am sure it will be as good as Sinful Surrender and A Taste of Desire. Looking forward to reading it when it finally comes out.
I am sure your book will be more then worth the wait! 🙂
I’m looking forward to freading them. Good luck with the revisions.
It sounds like it will be a great story and well worth the wait.

This is really a great selection of books by some great authors. The one bookCa I have been waiting to read is Lord Langley is Back in Town by Elizabeth Boyle. Whenever I pick up one of her books I have to set aside a week-end to just indulge myself and read her books in one sitting. Can you picture me at the beach with the sun shinning and the waves rolling in reading a great romance! What more could anyone ask for.
Please enter me to win! Thanks for the great give-aways!
Stuff happens!…and in the mean time we’ll read some great books as we wait. 🙂
I would be excited to win any of those titles! Fingers crossed.
