At the beginning of the year I read Julie Anne Long’s WHAT I DID FOR A DUKE. I loved it. I mean LOVED it. So much so, I’ve read it about 5 times and reread the end a good dozen or so more times. And as I do when I fall completely in love with a story, a hero and heroine, I need to go back and check out said author’s backlist. Which I did and I was not disappointed. Julie Anne Long has a pretty incredible series going here and I for one am waiting impatiently for the sixth book in the series, HOW THE MARQUIS WAS WON, which comes out January 2012.

The wait is truly intolerable!

But if I must wait, I will wait.

  20. I love Julie Anne. I too read What I did for a Duke and loved it. I have read some of the others, but unfortunately not all. I’d love to win. Most of my books are in storage as I am now living with my daughter (I have a TINY bedroom). Hopefully I’ll be getting my own place before too long. (New boyfriend in place and she wants me out.)

  27. I have read all of the Pennyroyal Green series (actually I have read ALL of JAL’s books that I know of to date) and they are literally some of the best romance novels I have ever read. I have to say my absolute favorite of all favorites in the PRG series is “Like No Other Lover”. The drinking game scene….I have never read something so perfectly written….I was laughing like an idiot. My husband had to know what was so funny and then when I read it out loud to him, he was laughing too! “What I Did for a Duke” is my second fave in the series but one of my favorite books of this year! I love me some Julie Anne Long!! 🙂

    I am glad I am not the only one who goes back and rereads endings and scenes that I love. I still do it with books I read years ago.
