One of the best things about self-publishing is being able to write for charity! When author Edie Ramer asked me if I’d like to write a short story that would be included in an anthology with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research, I readily agreed. This collection includes paranormal short stories for only $2.99! And we have some major authors, including Allison Brennan, Cynthia Eden and Nancy Haddock.

Want to know more about where the proceeds are headed? Read below!

Eleven authors have banded together to support breast cancer research with their writing. Authors4theCure, which includes award-winning and New York Times bestselling authors, as well as two breast cancer survivors, is donating proceeds from the sale of their paranormal anthology, Entangled, to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

BCRF-funded research has helped save lives and improved the quality of care and rate of survival for tens of thousands of breast cancer patients in the past decade. Their research has revealed that the “cure” is a mosaic made up of as many approaches to diagnosing, treating, preventing and surviving as there are different types of breast cancer. The anthology is also a mosaic made up of many stories donated for this worthwhile cause.

HALLOWEEN FROST by USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Estep (author of the Mythos Academy, Elemental Assassin, and Bigtime series) — It’s Halloween at Mythos Academy, but Gwen Frost and her friends are in for more tricks than treats when they run into a mythological monster intent on killing them.

  1. Thanks for coming today. I think it is great that y’all are giving the proceeds to breast cancer research. I’m going to have to go get my copy now.

  2. This is a wonderful way to raise money! I will be on the lookout for an e-copy. And thanks for the giveaway, too!

  3. I’ll add my thanks to Edie’s! It’s been an honor to be a part of the anthology – I hope we help to bring about a cure for breast cancer soon!

  4. I enjoy purchasing and reading books written for charity and I think it is wonderful for authors and publishers to make this type of contribution. Headed off to get my copy!

    Thanks!

  5. Throwing my thanx in with Edie and Dale. This was an exciting project to participate in and needless to say … the cause is incredibly important. I was thrilled to be asked to join this project and love the company that I’m included in.

Tell family about this anthology. Tell friends … hell, tell total strangers (that’s what I’m doing). It seems like everyone you talk to has been touched by cancer in some way, shape or form. Its an equal opportunity disease that I’d love to see eradicated in my lifetime.

  6. I work at a cancer center and see how things like affect people’s lives first hand. There are so many people at need monetary help, but many more that need the emotional help. I know patients that get so excited to see their favorite authors supporting their disease. So a big THANK YOU to any author out there that is willing to do a bit for charity.

  7. I expect most of us have been touched by breast cancer in our circle of family and friends. This is a lovely way to help the cause. Thanks so much.

  8. This is such a great and amazing thing to do for the BCRF. It’s hard to meet someone who hasn’t been somehow effected by breast cancer. One day (we can only pray) we will find the cure for not only breast cancer but all cancer.

  9. I think this is a wonderful way to raise awareness and make a tangible contribution to breast cancer research. Everyone can enjoy a great story (stories in this case!) no matter the stage in their life, while making a difference. It’s a win-win.

  10. I love anthologies and having the profits go for a good cause makes it even better. I don’t yet have an e-reader, but hope to have one by Christmas.
