Today I won a copy of Jeannie Lin’snovella from Harlequin Historical Undone THE LADY’S SCANDALOUS NIGHT on Twitter. I didn’t mean to win it as I receive Harlequin books to review but I forget to let her know I was retweeting for my followers. But as I won it, I decided one of my blog visitors really deserved to win it…so here I am giving it away.

When I told Jeannie Lin what I intended she was generous enough to offer a digital copy of her connecting full-length book Harlequin Historical October release THE PEARL AND THE DRAGON (which I’m currently reading and is very, very good) for giveaway. All I can say about Jeannie Lin is she is an awesome writer. Seriously, her books are just a pleasure to read and certainly different from 99.9% of historical romances out there as she sets her stories during the Tang Dynasty around 700-750 AD and her protagonists are predominantly Chinese.

Jeannie Lin is the 2009 Golden Heart winner for her debut book,BUTTERFLY SWORDS. For all those who don’t know what the Golden Heart award is, it’s the most prestigious award an unpublished author can receive and given out by RWA (Romance Writer’s Association) during their annual conference. So if you haven’t tried Jeannie’s books before, this is the perfect opportunity to do so.

Tang Dynasty China, 759 A.D.

Yao Ru Jiang, known as River, has woven many romantic dreams of honorable swordsman Wei Chen from her brother’s stories. Their meeting should have been a happy event; instead, Chen arrives to tell River he is duty bound to kill her brother for rebelling against the warlord they both serve.

River would do anything to distract the handsome, conflicted warrior from his mission—even take him as a lover….

~*~*~

Former Emperor’s consort Ling Suyin is renowned for her beauty; the ultimate seductress. Now she lives quietly alone—until the most ruthless warlord in the region comes and steals her away….

Li Tao lives life by the sword, and is trapped in the treacherous, lethal world of politics. The alluring Ling Suyin is at the center of the web. He must uncover her mystery without falling under her spell—yet her innocence calls out to him. How cruel if she, of all women, can entrance the man behind the legend….

Comment to enter to win digital copies of both books. Believe me, you will thank me for introducing you to her works. 😉
