I’m going to call this Good News Sunday! And let me tell you, I love waking up to good news. What happened? Well today Nicola Cornick (God Bless her) tagged me on Facebook to let me know SINFUL SURRENDER — my debut released almost two years ago — was listed in The Observer (British Newspaper) as one of the Top 10 romance ebooks sold for the past week. SINFUL SURRENDER!!! Can you even believe it? I can’t. I mean I’ve released 2 books since its release. Anyway, I’m not complaining cause I’m all joy and smiling today.

And if my joy over that wasn’t enough, I–of course–had to go on www.ebooks.com to check out the current Top 15 Romance list myself. My joy was complete then.

Big lists or small lists, I LOOOVVVEEE getting on lists. 🙂

And you should know if I’m giddy and happy I’ll be giving away something good, right?

Okay here’s what a have. First, because SINFUL SURRENDER was my debut, I’m going to start the giveaway off with another debut, this one Theresa Romain’s historical SEASON FOR TEMPTATION.

If you’d rather a mystery in a historical setting, I’ve got Barbara Hamilton’s SUP WITH THE DEVIL.  Or if contemporary romances are more your thing, how about Jane Graves’ HEARTSTRINGS AND DIAMOND RINGS?

Finally, but not least, want another book on the list? Well I have Lorraine Heath’s WAKING UP WITH THE DUKE — which I might add, I did love love love.

These are all the books up for grabs. Let me know what book(s) you discovered at least a year after it was originally release that you absolutely loved. Don’t forget to let me know which book(s) you’re interested in winning. Enjoy your Sunday. 🙂

  1. Congratulations this is wonderful news! Two years and still a top seller, you can’t ask for anything better. Right now my mind draws a blank on the names of book I discovered later but I know there have been several! I love reading authors debut books anyway. I would be interested in winning any of these books you have posted because I have not read them.

  2. What fantastic news…. congratulations!!!!!

The books that come to my mind are the ones I have just finished up, Sky High Air series by Jill Shalvis. The last book in the installment ( book 3) came out in 2008. I love finding a series I am loving after the series is complete. It means I don’t have to play the waiting game for the next book to come out, lol!

As for what book I would like to win, all look amazing!

  3. That’s great news! Congratulations! My recent discovery is Caroline Linden. And I am not talking about her latest release, but her Reece Family Trilogy. I like her style very much.
If this is opened internationally, I’d love to read Theresa Romain’s “Season for Temptation”. I’m always open to new authors.
So once again, congratulations, this is a great achievement!

  4. Congratulations!! That’s amazing news. 🙂
An author I recently read that, I think, debuted last year is Sarah MacLean. Her Love By Numbers series is amazing. Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake was so good I had to immediately read the 2nd book in the series that came out last year as well, and the 3rd that came out this year. The series is fun and sexy 🙂 Definitely was happy to find.
I would love to read Sense of Temptation. Waking Up With The Duke I am a little weary of because the scenario is a little cringe worthy, but I’ve heard so many good things about it that I’m debating giving it a go.
    Congrats again.

  5. Congrats one making “the lists” that is awesome considering it’s not a new release!!! I recently read the Brides Trilogy from Kat Martin and I think they were out in 2009… they were really good. As for the ones you are giving away they all look good!
    Very happy for you!
    Deb

  6. What great news, Bev. But then, Sinful Surrender is such a great read, maybe you shouldn’t be too surprised!

My discovery was Julie Anne Long’s Like No Other Lover. It was the first of her books that I read–what a treasure she is. As for the giveaway books you’ve listed, I haven’t read any of them and they all look good to me. Thanks.

  7. SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! Did you hear me on the other side of the country? lol. Congrats Bev. Such a fabulous and well deserved thing. 🙂

I discovered all things Julia Quinn years too late. lol. Yes, I’ve been living under a rock. There’s just so many new to me authors and books, I can’t list them all.

I have been COVETING Lorraine Heath’s book and the cover for Theresa Romain’s SEASON FOR TEMPTATION is gorgeous.

  8. What wonderful news, Beverley! Congrats! I am not at all surprised that Sinful Surrender made it to the best seller’s list. I read that book twice. A Taste of Desire was another great book that I also read twice. What is really funny is that your publisher dropped you because they didn’t think your books were selling well enough. Phooey on them. Lol!

If I am a winner, I would love to read Theresa Romain’s Season for Temptation or Barbara Hamilton’s Sup With the Devil. I already have Heartstrings and Diamond Rings.

Again, many congratulations! You deserve it!

  9. How absolutely wonderful, congratulations.

I would pick Beneath the 13 Moons by Kathryne Kennedy. I’ve been reading her Elven series but went back and read this one and loved them all.

My first choice would be Waking up with the Duke, and then Season for Temptation and even Sup with the Devil – love those historicals and suspense!

  10. Congratulations! I read that book and really liked it.
I think I would like to read Jane Graves book.
I purchase books and a lot of the time don’t check when they were first issued. A couple of books I liked that I had for awhile and then read were WITHOUT MERCY-Lisa Jackson and DARK DECEPTIONS-Dee Davis.

  11. Congratulations! What a lovely way to start your day.

I saw Tessa Dare’s One Dance with a Duke in a used book shop and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did, I loved it. I’ve since glommed her backlist and she’s now an autobuy author.

I’d love to read Season for Temptation or Waking up with the Duke.

  12. congratulations on being a chart topper! Among other books, I discovered the black dagger brotherhood books over a year after they’d been released. It is always fun finding an author with a backlist! I’d love Heartstrings and Diamond Rings. Thanks for the give a way.

  13. Congratulations Beverley, that’s so wonderful! I discovered Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series several years after the first four or five books were released, and read them all in a row because they were awesome. I also read Lisa Kleypas series Hathaway’s series after the third book came out – I started from the beginning (because that’s how I like to read series) and loved them all.
All these books sound fantastic, but I’d especially love to win either of the historical romances.

  14. Good for you, Beverley! I discovered the Outlander series just about a year ago, & now there is a 20 year anniversary edition of the first book out now! They are such good books, and long too! I’d be interested in either Season for Temptation or Waking up With the Duke. Thanks for the giveaway!

  15. Congrats! I discovered Rachel Gibson’s Chinooks Hockey Team series about a year ago (the first book in the series came out in 98) and I absolutely love it.

I would love Waking up With the Duke

  16. Congrats, Beverley! After reading your books when they first came out, I know that you deserve being on top lists. They were wonderful!

I can’t think of any books that I have read a year or more after they were released, but I know there have been many since I am a voracious reader.

I would love to win any of the historical books you are giving away. Thanks for another great giveaway!

  17. That is such exciting news! Congratulations! 🙂

I’d love to read the Lorraine Heath book but truly any of them would be wonderful. Thanks!!

  22. Congrats Beverley! That is so exciting!! I was late when it came to reading Lisa Kleypas. I had picked up the first Hathaway book a year after it came out and loved it. After that I glommed all of her previous books. I couldn’t believe that I went so long without reading her. Another book I just picked up a few months ago was Tessa Dare’s Goddess of the Hunt, and I absolutely loved it.

  23. A really wonderful debut author I discovered a little while after her release date was Rose Lerner. “In For a Penny” was wonderful; it went right on my keeper shelf, and I can’t wait to read her new release. Another new author I’m anticipating is Cecilia Grant. I was lucky enough to read her debut “A Lady Awakened” early, and I can’t wait for “A Gentleman Undone”. Both books won’t be released until next year, but “A Lady Awakened” is on my keeper shelf as well. I would love to try Theresa Romain’s book.

  24. Congrats on making the Top 10!

Believe it or not, after years of reading romance novels, I’ve only just discovered the wonderful stories of Lorraine Heath and it started with Waking Up with the Duke —

After that, I went back and read as many of her books that I could find. (I enjoyed her Scoundrels of St. James series.)

I’d love to get a copy of Theresa Romain’s book — I have a soft spot for debut novels. ^_^

  25. Most amazing news! Well deserved! If anyone hasn’t read this book, they need to! It’s a book you can seem to stop reading! I’ve read it 4 times and ready to read both books before Heir of Deception is out. Congrat Bev. You deserve this great honor!

  26. I am very happy for you. I discovered Christine Feehan after she had been out for some time. I read the second book first. I love all the books you have there.

  39. Congrats, you should be so proud! Books I discovered more than a year after they were published: Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. I had put off reading any of her books for some reason. After DIW I fell in love and proceeded to read all of her historical romances! Loved them all! I would like to win Waking Up With The Duke please. I’ve already read it and for me it’s a keeper!

  40. Congrats Beverley!

I discovered Mary Balogh only a couple of weeks ago when I read her More Than A Mistress (2000). The romance was just a joy to read. As her backlist is long, I have many more reading experiences to come.

I would love to read Lorraine Heath´s Waking Up With The Duke.

  41. CONGRATULATIONS! You so deserve those kudos!

I’ve discovered several new & not-so-new authors this year; love the work I’ve read and look forward to more. They are:

    C. S. Harris with her Sebastian St. Cyr mysteries. I’ve only read the first book so far but I have 4 more waiting to be read.

Sarah MacLean…love her work…I’ve read 2 books so far and 1 more TBR.

Keiran Kramer…read only 1 book of hers so far but I have the remaining 2 on my ever growing TBR pile.

And finally, Grace Burrowes…I’m currently reading ‘The Heir’ and so far, I am enjoying it. Look forward to more from her.

I would like to win a copy of ‘Season for Temptation’ by Theresa Romain…that book does sound good!

  42. I picked up Meridith Duran as her third title was released. Boy was I thrilled to know I had a backlist to read because I couldn’t wait for the next. I’d love to win anything, but either historical would be my top pick with a contemporary runner up. Congratulations on the continued success of your fabulous debut.

  43. WOW that is so awesome Beverly! Congrats!

I’ve discovered Tiffany Clare- The Surrender of a Lady , Gwen Cready- Flirting With Forever , Stephanie Tyler’s Hold series and Shannon T Butcher.

I’d love to win either debut author Theresa Romain’s book Season For Temptation or Lorraine Heath’s Waking Up With the Duke.

    THANKS!

  44. Congratulations, Bev. I wonder if your old publisher is having second thoughts about not finishing the series.

Please enter me to win Jane Graves, Theresa Romain or Loretta Chase.

    1. I forgot to answer your question. I found Julie James about a year after her debut novel and I found Rachel Gibson about 10 years after her debut. I’ve enjoyed both author’s novels.

  45. Congrats Bev, you must be doing the snoopy happy dance, well done! I would be interested in any book but the Lorraine Heath have that already and I loved it to death as well.

I found Monica McCarty’s First Guardian series book almost a year after it was released. I am now blazing through her backlist~

  47. Congratulations on your great news! I just read and loved The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley but it’s been out for a while. I would love to try Season for Temptation.

  48. Congrats Beverly!

I recently read Swept Aways by a Kiss by Katharine Ashe and loved it.
Please count me in for Season for Temptation or Waking Up with the Duke.

  49. Congrats Beverly. It must be a real thrill to have your book on the Top 10 list over a year after it was published.

There are many books that I discovered after they had been out for over a year, but that was when I first started reading again. Some were by Julie Garwood, Mary Balogh, Virginia Henley and Bertrice Small, as well as many others.

I would love to win either Season for Temptation or Waking Up With The Duke.

  50. Oh goodness, I totally forgot to add:

Last year, I discovered an oldie as I was browsing through the library shelves – A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Devereaux. This particular book was originally published in 1989 – when I was six years old. At first, I had a little trouble empathizing with the heroine because the way she thought a modern, independent woman acted was still rooted in the late eighties, but once I got a few chapters into it, I was hooked.

And it was such a beautiful book, absolutely gorgeous. Definitely not the happy ever ever I was expecting, and one of the best historical romances I have ever read. And it’s a time travel book – and I normally don’t like those! Suffice to say that it was totally worth reading (and it has 434 five star reviews on Amazon!)

As for what book I would like… um, Waking up with the Duke or the Season for Temptation. 🙂

  51. hmm… well, I didn’t discover Lorraine Heath until this month actually. So that’s kind of late… Same with Julia Anne Long….

I would love to get Season for Temptation.

  52. Well, I have actually only been reading romances for about 2 1/2 years so there are many authors that I am enjoying going back and reading all their books: Lynsay Sands, Kerrelyn Sparks, Hannah Howell, Julia Quinn, Sabrina Jeffries, Gaelen Foley, Larissa Ione, Gena Showalter, JR Ward, and so many more. It may take me a while to read them all but alot of them I have already read all or at least most of. I would LOVE to win WAKING UP WITH THE DUKE. I really loved the other 2 books in this series so I am looking forward to this one.

  53. I would have to say Kat Martin was someone I found after she had already release a couple of her series, like The Necklace trilogy, the Heart trilogy, and the Brides trilogy. They were all great books. I love the Raines brothers series with another book coming out soon. I also found Christina Dodds earlier books and fell in love with the early stuff like the Governess bride series. I would love the Loranine Heath or Jane Graves books. Thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win.
