Six Degrees of Scandal by Caroline Linden | The Viscount Needs a Wife by Jo Beverley

giveawayhistorical-TRTTexcerpt

THE ROAD TO TEMPTATION – Snippet

Rhys silently regarded her, then asked, “And you? Is that why you haven’t married? Which category did Sampson and Preston fall under? Unacceptable character flaws or lack of affection?” The men had courted her last Season and had been summarily dismissed.

“Both,” she replied.

Rhys didn’t ask that she elaborate. It was enough that she hadn’t had significant feelings for either man, which spoke well of her judge of character. He studied her as she lifted the teacup to her lips–pretty, red, and deliciously full–her pinky daintily extended.

Where in the recesses of his conscience his next question came, he had not a clue, but it came all the same. “And were I to court you, in which category would I fall?”
