Braden is this uber rich billionaire who is into the darker side of sex. He thrives off of control. He meets Skye, this upcoming photographer, who works for one of Braden’s old fling. The complexity of that dynamic alone will have you wanting to know more. Skye is very much aware of herself and in control. She hasn’t had much experience with sex but Braden helps her to tap into some of her hidden desires.
I love me some Braden. He knows how to bring the heat. I’m assuming the author created this so we can get a sneak peak into Braden’s head since the previous novels are written in Skye’s POV. If you have read the previous books you know that Braden has so many secrets. To be honest I could have lived without this book because we only learn a little more but there are still too many questions swirling around my head. I want more! I want Braden!
So first, you need to read the other novels in the series to get a better understanding. Sure, you can technically read this book first but you are only getting Braden’s POV. This is just a re-telling of the original story to fill in some of the gaps. I believe the author is coming out with another book this year so hopefully fans of the series will have a better conclusion.
I love Braden and Skye together. He is Alpha and dominant. She is also very strong but yielding. The passion explodes off the pages when they are together. The sex told from his eyes makes it more intense as he craves Skye like no other.
I highly recommend this for fans who want a quick smutty read and love a dom/sub relationship.
