These Royals will ruin you…

Ever since Hartley Wright met Easton Royal, her life hasn’t been the same. There are enemies behind every corner and dangers beyond each door. When tragedy strikes and steals her memories, she can’t trust anyone, not even the blue-eyed boy who promises her that everything will be all right.

Because while Hartley’s memory is full of gaps, her instincts tell her Easton is dangerous. She doesn’t know if he’s the snake in the garden or her chance at salvation. The chaos he brings wherever he goes is too much to handle, the intense feelings he evokes are too confusing to unravel.

Easton wants her to remember. Hartley thinks it’s better to forget.

She might be right.

Tragedy. Treachery. Trust. Hartley has to face the facts—in this world, you can’t escape the Royals. Either you live by their rules or you die by them.

Easton and Hartley have more drama and obstacles to contend with. The fall took Hartley’s memories and she struggles with her feeling for Easton. He has to make sure he doesn’t slide backwards into his normal toxic behavior now that there are so many dangers lurking around them.

This has to be my least favorite book in the series. I have mentioned multiple times that this series is over the top and it went so far over the top that I couldn’t hang on. The author made every single ploy so outrageous that I had to question the characters in the book.

The book picks right up where the last one left off. Hartley now has amnesia and she can’t remember anything. She is surrounded by multiple snakes and she doesn’t trust Easton. Why should she? I don’t know why she is back in school and walking around like everything is okay when she doesn’t remember anything. Seems a bit farfetched.

Then there is the convenience of adding “Kyle” to the story. I didn’t understand adding another character at this stage but the author did and he didn’t have a real purpose. I felt like the author needed to work on some of the unnecessary details she threw in the story. This book didn’t need any fillers for sure.  Callum is nowhere to be found while one of his sons is in a coma. The parents continue to be all over the place. The author wraps up the Steve issue very conveniently. The same fashion she did with Hartley’s father.

Overall, this series had a great run. If you want to read drama, suspense and spiciness, then I recommended reading the entire series.
