  1. The last really good book I read was The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I’m really not a big fan of fantasy, but picked it up because my book club was reading it. And WOW, it was such a great read, I couldn’t put it down!

  2. Fictionwise I finished Ariana Franklin’s CITY OF SHADOWS last week and I’m STILL thinking about it. Romance-wise I just read Elizabeth Hoyt’s SCANDALOUS DESIRES — loved it!

  7. I just finished The Kingdom of Childhood. It was so intense, I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t read a romance that knocked my socks off in awhile, but the last was Smooth Talking Stranger, by Lisa Kleypas.

  8. Thank you for this giveaway. Right now I am reading The secret to seduction by Julie Anne Long and Sinful Surrender by Beverley Kendall. Love this site!!!

Good luck with everything, and I’m sure all of us will wait patiently for whenever Heir of Deception comes out, and it’ll be worth the wait 🙂 Take some time to rest and relax.

  10. The last good book that I just finished reading was “Seven Years To Sin” by Sylvia Day. It was one of the most poignant, romantic, sensual and heartwarming stories that I’ve read in a while. I would love to win Anne Mallory’s book.

  11. Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks has been the best book I have read lately, very good book I have to say.

  12. The last really good book I read was Mistress by Marriage by Maggie Robinson. I enjoyed it so much I went back and read the first 2 books in the series, Mistress by Mistake, and Mistress by Midnight! Please enter me to win In Total Surrender. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this one!

  13. My last 5-star read was “First Comes Marriage” by Mary Balogh. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

  14. Again, this is difficult because I haven’t read a bad book. With that qualifier, the last really good book I read was Dracula in Love by Karen Essex.

  15. I just read Nora Roberts’ old Irish Trilogy the Gallaghers of Ardmore. Sooo good! I would especially love to win NR’s newest book!

  16. I have to name two really good books that I just finished reading because they were both really good. One was SCANDALOUS DESIRES by Elizabeth Hoyt and the other was TREADING WATER by Marie Force. I actually read TREADING WATER twice. Can’t wait for the next book in both series to be released!

  17. The last really, really good book I have read is Broken Wing by Judith James. One of my all time favorites. I am reading Ann Mallory’s In Total Surrender right now. LOL! So I do not want to win that one. Any of the others would be great.

  18. I just finished Christina Dodd’s A Well Favored Gentleman. It was new to me, anyway, and truly ground-breaking. A Scots historical with shapechangers (it would be a spoiler to say who is the shapechanger, but he was definitely a surprise)

  19. Thank you for the giveaway. I can’t wait for The Next Always by Nora Roberts.
I have been grateful to have read so many great books lately, and some of them were by new authors who I feel will soon be favorites. I read A Dsicovery of Witches (fiction) by Deborah Harkness and loved it.

  20. The last book I just finished was The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo which I enjoyed. The book before that was The Lost Symbol which was another good one. I’m currently reading The Help and this too is another good one. These are not my usual romances but all were lent to me lol.

  21. I just recently read Night After Night by Janelle Denison, which I really enjoyed. I especially liked the secondary romance in the book.

  22. I really enjoyed reading Blue-Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas. Can’t wait to read the new trilogy by Nora Roberts. Thank you so much for another giveaway. Happy Friday!!

  23. Mmmm, have read a lot of really good books lately. The Journal of Best Practices was awesome, but not a romance — although I do think it would make a good one! I guess I’ll say Trespass by Meg Maguire — I read it on vacation, so didn’t get a chance to review it, but was just remembering how good it was.

  24. Eileen Dreyer’s Always a Temptress was so, so wonderful!

I slept really late because I wanted to finish it — great mix of romance and drama and a conspiracy against the king!

  25. Oooh! This is a tough one, I’m gonna say Elizabeth Hoyt’s Wicked Intentions, cos I loved Lazarus.

These giveaways are great, I’d love to win a copy of In Total Surrender.

  26. I just finished a book called SEDUCING THE GOVERNESS by Margo Maguire. It was really very good!
    Thanks for another wonderful giveaway!

  27. Seduction and Scandal– Whoa! was that book good! Gothic and romantic and sexy…. SOOOO good!

  28. Last really good book I read was A Storm of Swords by GRRM. I don’t remember the last time I read a book that both shocked and filled me with sadness and left me questioning every action of the characters from the previous books. So many “what ifs”

  29. Id say the book I’m reading now, Lord and Lady Spy by Shana Galen. It is such a good book. Before that I’d say Eloisa James’ A Kiss At Midnight, I loved that take on the classic fairy tale Cinderella.

  30. The last book I read that I completely adored was a reread–Julia Quinn’s WHEN HE WAS WICKED.

  31. I read lots of good books, but the most recent one I read that I loved was The Battle Sylph by LJ McDonald. It’s a fantasy romance and I’m just about to move on to the next book in the series.

  32. i had so many book that really good for me, from HR : i love all Lisa Kleypas and Johanna Lindsey book, from YA : I love iron fey series by julie kagawa, vampire academy series from Richelle Mead and from paranormalcy romance : sherillyn kenyon, alexandra ivy and jeaniene frost and the last from romance : catherine anderson, lavyler spence =D

  33. That is a hard question. I know the one I just finished was a waste of my time.
The best one I have read most recently wasn’t a romance. It was SILENT MERCY by Linda Fairstein. A good suspense read.
For some reason, I am currently reading books just to reduce my TBR mountain. I am leaving the ones I know will be good until last because I know they will likely be keepers. The ones I have been finishing will just be gone and make room for more.

  34. Mary Balogh´s More Than a Mistress is the best book I have read recently. Actually it was my first MB-book. Luckily she has written so many more.

I have read Anne Mallory´s book, so count me in to the others, if this giveaway is open to international readers.

  35. I just finished a young adult book called “Anna Dressed In Blood” by Kendare Blake. I can highly recommend it as a well done ghost story plus it was a perfect book to read the week before Halloween.

  36. I just finished reading When a Duke Says I Do by Jane Goodger and it was an amazing read. It’s definitely one of the best historical romance novels I’ve read this year.

  37. I love Karen Hawkin’s Scottish series featuring the MacLean and Hurst families. I would recommend Scandal In Scotland.

Wow . I didn’t know that Nora Roberts had another book out. I’ve enjoyed Anne Mallory’s books . Lauren Dane and Beverly Jenkins are both new authors for me.

  38. just finished Draon Bound by Thea Harrison late last night. had picked up couple months ago due to so many good reviews & since sounded interesting. Book 3 in the series just came out & sounded interesting which prompted me moving it up the tbr pile. Really enjoyed it. Now will have to get book 2 in the series so can read it, then #3 .

  39. The last really good book was both of Monica McCarty’s. I had to catch up on her Highlander novels. So I caught up on “The Ranger” and just finished “The Viper.” I love all the research and history and the romance is out of this world! I love it!! Next up, I got my hands on an early copy of Joanna Bourne’s “The Black Hawk!!” Eeek!!

  40. I have been lucky to have found several excellent books lately. Finished Tessa Dare’s A Night To Surrender, Thea Harrison’s Storm’s Heart, and Chloe Neill’s Some Girls Bite. Highly recommend all of those. I am eagerly awaiting my copy of The Black Hawk in the mail!If I win, I would definitely choose the Anne Mallory book; I finished One Night to Remember not long ago too and it’s another keeper.

  41. Just finished Seduction of a Highland Lass by Maya Banks. Love this series! Now I am off to buy the next one. Can’t wait to read it. Love her books. Since historical stories are my favorite, I would love to read Anne Mallory’s In Total Surrender.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  42. Just finished One Dance With a Duke by Tessa Dare which I really enjoyed. But the best book I have read lately is 1000 Years of Annoying the French by Stephen Clarke, writte in an informal, informative manner but still managing to be well-resaerach and full of information. It may, however, be a book that mainly appeals to British people.

  43. I had a few books I didn’t like at all & found them a waste of time and money 🙁
Now I’m reading The Night She Got Lucky and so far I’m loving it 🙂
Guess I too got lucky with Susan Donovan …. 😉

  44. I have rarely read a book I didn’t like, but when I did, they either went to our community center or straight to the trash before I finished reading them. I don’t really have a favorite book since I have loved almost all of the ones I have read. I am reading Christina Dodd’s book, Taken by the Prince right now, so guess I will say it is my favorite. However, I did read Bev’s books Sinful Surrender and A Taste of Desire twice, so maybe it is Sinful Surrender.

  45. I’ve been reading some of Jude Deveraux’s older books. Days of Gold and The Duchess. Wonderful reads.

  46. I just finished reading ‘Romancing the Countess’ by Ashley March and I’d say it is the best book I’ve read this year…so far! I really enjoyed this story and look forward to more of her work.

  47. I really enjoyed Leigh Michaels’ “Just One Season in London” last week. I found it charming.

This week I’m listening to Mary Balogh’s “More Than A Mistress ” and reading along in the book because I’m just not an auditory learner. Also, the recording I’m listening to is the original one with Jenny Sterlin as narrator from 2001. She is perfect. I find myself so caught up with the main characters, with their feelings and emotions, that I’m just overwhelmed. I have heard the other two more recent narrations of MTAM and , for the life of me, can’t understand why any publisher would choose to make them when the original was outstanding. I’ve listened to it many times and I love it. MTAM is one of my favorite books.

Please don’t enter my name in the contest. I’ve already ready Anne Mallory’s book. It was great. Aren’t all of hers?
