REVIEW

Wow! A breathtaking and erotic historical romance with all the angst and passion that will take readers on an adventure.

Ned Chambers is back in London to see to his daughter’s happiness. She is about to enter the season and he wants to get her prepared. He has to admit that something in him is bored and looking for a thrill and what better way to find a thrill than to visit his old friend, Viscount Ludovic Devere aka “The Devil”. After Devere convinces Ned to accompanying him to an orgy at a courtesan’s home, Ned finds himself in the King of England’s bed after a night filled of lust.

After years of struggling to be an actress, Phoebe might have to pull off her biggest stunt yet. She sneaks her way into an orgy as Kitty Willis and finds herself trying to seduce the devil himself. Instead she ends up being seduce into a wild night of passion by his friend Ned.

I have read quite a few novellas that left me with a good feeling and I’m adding this one to the list. I wish it was longer. I want more but I’m completely satisfied with how it ended. I can’t wait to see if Ms. Vane can find a lady to tame Devere! He is a scoundrel that sounds deliciously fun.

The story is well written and the love scenes are scorching hot. I felt the pain that Ned has suffered from his previous marriage and is glad that Phoebe stood as her own woman and not a ghost to his deceased wife. I recommend this for those who will like a short read filled with humor and steamy sex.
